Thank you for a great start to the new school year! We look forward to an awesome year ahead!

The Pope John newsletter is a communication tool you will receive from the office each Monday. It will be emailed to all parents who have shared email addresses with the office. All others will receive a hard copy. Today, everyone is receiving a hard copy as well as email as we check our email addresses. If you do not receive the emailed version and you have shared an email address with the office, please contact Mrs. Priscilla in the office. Please take time each week to read the newsletter to help stay informed.

Handbook signatures are now due. Please go to our website, read the handbook and send in a signed copy of the signature page found in the back of the handbook. I have attached a copy of the signature page with the emailed newsletter for your convenience.

School picture day is next week for your child! Inter-State Studio photographers will be here August 22nd and 23rd. Look at the schedule below to determine which day your child will have his/her picture taken. Students may wear dress up clothes or school uniforms. If a sleeveless top or dress is worn, the student must wear a sweater or jacket. Tuesday, August 22 – 3-year, kindergarten, grades 4, 5 & 6 Wednesday, August 23 – 4-year, grades 1, 2 & 3

Archery will begin September 12, 5:30-7pm Hall's Gym. It is open to anyone from 3rd -12th grade. No experience required. If you have any questions, please call or text 812-592-4729.

Students who earned the dress down week for Healthy Hilltopper donations from last year, may dress down the week of August 21st. Please double check the dress code section of the Parent/Student Handbook for specifics regarding dress down days. Dress clothes or the school uniform must be worn on Mass day. The Prince of Peace Festival is next weekend, August 25 & 26! If you haven’t already signed up to work in an area, please contact Cassandra Bear, [email protected] or 273-5835 ext. 246.

Don’t forget the big raffle! Raffle tickets are $200 each and only 200 will be sold. There will be two lucky winners of $5,000 each!! Tickets can be sold to an individual or multiple people can pitch in to buy a ticket. The drawing is Saturday night of Festival. Buy yours today!

Breakfast is served daily in the cafeteria from 7:30-8am for $1.60. Breakfast consists of a granola bar, muffin or cereal, fruit or fruit juice and milk. LUNCH MENU – August 15 – August 21
