Effective immediately, our district has partnered with MSB Consulting for Clinical and Special Education Documentation and Medicaid to Schools. MSB offers a documentation tool called X Logs, which offers a user-friendly interface and advanced reporting capabilities to special education service providers, to help better track the services provided to students easily and efficiently. The information captured in X Logs will allow the district to seamlessly seek Medicaid reimbursement on eligible students for the following service areas: speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychological services, counseling, nursing, personal care and transportation. Previously, our district utilized a company called <> in order to seek these reimbursement dollars. We decided to partner with MSB Consulting Group in streamlining the overall clinical notation, special education documentation and IEP documentation. Here are two changes we want to highlight for you:

Random Moment Time Study (RMTS)

The Medicaid to Schools Program requires the district to participate in Random Moment Time Study (RMTS). This is a statewide study used to measure how often providers perform a direct “medical” service to students with disabilities. This information is gathered by randomly selecting providers on a quarterly basis to participate in the time study. If you are selected, you will receive an email from Fairbanks LLC as well as MSB will send you a video tutorial explaining the purpose of RMTS and what to expect when responding to your moment in Fairbanks.

X Logs

MSB will be scheduling on site workshops/trainings on our documentation tool X Logs for all special education staff identified as of <> where MSB will not only teach you how to use this application, but will consult with you on how to implement the program in your day- to-day activities. There will be numerous training and consulting opportunities available. Schedule will be announced shortly. X Logs will be taking the place of our current ticketing tool, <>. We have been assigned a Program Specialist, <>, to work with our account, who will assist us in implementing all of MSB’s services.

It is our goal that all staff will have converted to using X Logs by <> and we are committed to supporting you in this process.
