2017 Presidential Inauguration Trip- Be A Part of History!
The inauguration of a new president takes place on one day every four years. Our nation will be electing a new President in November of 2016. We would like you to be a part of the new President’s Inauguration in January of 2017!
Kempner High School is organizing a trip through EF Educational Travel. We would depart from Houston on Wednesday, January 18th, 2017 and return Sunday, January 22nd, 2017. You would miss three days of school. This is a school trip so it will not affect exemptions.
The tentative schedule: Wednesday – getting oriented…day in Georgetown Thursday – Learn about the Smithsonian during an introduction by our tour director. Visit your choice of the Smithsonian’s museum Take a night tour of Washington Friday – Inauguration Day! Participate in Inaugural Enjoy the SST events: Inaugural Ball - Oath of Office - Festive party - Inaugural just for tour Address groups - Inaugural - Meet other Parade SST travelers Saturday - Take a guided tour of - FDR and MLK Washington: Memorials - Arlington - Visit Mount National Vernon Cemetery and - Enjoy an the Tomb of evening the Unknowns activity – - Marine Corps Georgetown is War Memorial a great option - Photo stop at (we will go as the White a group) House
Sunday – Visit Capitol Hill: - U.S. Capitol - U.S. Supreme Court Tour the Library of Congress Visit the National Archives Depart for Home 2017 Presidential Inauguration Trip- Be A Part of History! The cost of the trip is approximately $1925. If you enroll now, that’s $97/month. There is a deposit of $99 (which counts as the first payment). There is an auto pay option with which the same amount would be deducted from the time of enrollment until the final payment is due…that way you can spread out your payments and not have to worry about remembering to pay.
This price is the student price. Adults (23 during the tour) may travel with Kempner High School at a $240 (approx) surcharge. 2017 Presidential Inauguration Trip- Be A Part of History!
