INVITATION ‘Commando Shuffle’ Saturday 16th September 2017 30 Miles (48k) Dartmoor www.firesportuk.com CHALLENGE Follow the route of the Royal Marines final 30-mile Commando Green Beret test Walk in your own teams of 3+ ~ or individuals can join syndicates of 3+ This is a very demanding 30 miles Ultra multi terrain challenge including open moorland and has exposed sections. It is designed as a team event and for safety reasons will be organised into teams/syndicates of 3 or 4 or more with staggered start times. The routes will be over footpaths, bridleways and quiet country roads over Dartmoor National Park, from Okehampton Camp to Moorlands Bridge. The walk takes you through areas not always open to the general public.

You would need to arrive the evening before on Friday 15th September 2017 ahead of an early first light start from Okehampton military camp. Transport to the start is provided and accommodation taken is adjacent to the finish, with a choice of indoor bunk rooms and outdoor camping. Most meals are included in the entry fee and so too, is a T-shirt upon completion, a medal with ribbon and a souvenir certificate, endorsed ‘Elite’ if you opt to carry a minimum of 32lb of kit in sub 9 hours. *RM Commandos do it in 8 hours

Entries can be accepted by post (with payment) on the form overleaf and is limited to the first 100 that apply on a ‘first come first served basis’.
