HOW TO APPLY FOR TOP MANAGEMENT POSITIONS IN STUDENT MEDIA

Your application must consist of these three parts: 1) This file contains questionnaires for each of the Student Media units. Please select and complete the questionnaire for the unit for which you are applying. 2) A one page cover letter. 3) Your resume.

Applications are being taken NOW. Please return your application package to the Office of Student Media – B39 Hodges Hall. The DEADLINE IS 4 p.m., Friday, October 25, 2013.

Media Board interviews are scheduled for Friday, November 1 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday, November 15 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Both meetings will be held in Council 310-A of the Student Union.

Requirements for LSU employment: You must be a full-time student in good-standing with the University, with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Seniors in their final semester are considered full-time even if taking fewer than 12 credit hours.

Prepare your application with care. The Media Board members have indicated that they place great importance on the written application. TIGER TV STATION MANAGER QUESTIONNAIRE a) What are the roles of a student television station in the campus community? b) What are Tiger TV’s current strengths? c) How many student-generated newscasts should be aired each week? Sportscasts? What other student-generated programming ought to be considered? d) In which areas would you improve Tiger TV?
