This committee will dissolve by April 15th (planned date of the event – 5-7pm) - passed Abby’s proposal – cider and donuts for the support staff sometime in December. - Second Look Day brainstorm with Julie Weber, President 5 minutes 2nd look day was super helpful for those students that attended. Great for highlighting the best parts of wayne, and that the student representation at the event was the most useful part. Make sure to highlight the student orgs like last year, powerpoint that goes briefly over the highlights of what we have to offer. Don’t let it get overbooked like last year. Maybe why the multiple days is a good idea. Separate info sessions for parents vs students? Move orientation presentation about highlights of Detroit to this time. Exam reviews – Dr Booza, sent email out, will take effect once biochem starts; review right after the exam; senate raised concern with cheating if first group is reviewing before second group takes the exam; Q: why can’t you come back at a later time? Dr Bosch will not allow reviews for her courses at this time. Senates of Class 2017/2018 need to spearhead this initiative moving forward; they currently take this as a step forward but not a perfect process, would like to start with it and see how it goes. Many upper years would like to point out that the big picture needs to be kept in focus, and that a large amount of work has gone into decreasing cheating between the two testing groups, and that moving forward with this setup would not be advisable. Motion – We don’t support implementation of this program in the current state, and that adjustments are required before it is rolled out, for the purpose of minimizing cheating. - passed Ad-hoc – Chairs David and Lauren, dissolves once satisfied with how this is roled out.
