NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Inter-Club Council met, commencing at 9:36 A.M. on Monday March 11, 2013 in Room 851-MVC, and Room 1111-SJC. The starting time listed for the meeting is approximate. Public testimony will be invited in conjunction with discussion on each item.

II. ICC Club Reports & Information A. ICC President A.i. Kesia- if a club misses 3 consecutive meetings it will become inactive. Clubs need to come to the meetings to stay active and hold events. All event forms must be submitted with the minutes and agendas attached. Send flyers for events a week in advance to get them approved for the events being held. The approval will not be done on te week of the event. Any club that sends an invite to Kesia’s email will likely see her at the clubs event, so please feel free to do so. B. ICC Club Reps i. Challenge- putting off the movie day on March 13. Will be co-hosting an event with the Political Science Club April 4th during college hour in room 408. The event will have an expert on Islamic religion from UCR, an Imam, and other Islamic speakers. The topic is the “The Myths of Islam”. ii. Asian and Pacific Islanders Club- gaming tournament on April 5 from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. The tournament will consist of X-box games for those competing with suggested donations of $5 per player. There will also be board games for those waiting to play in the tournament. The prizes are to be announced. iii. Psychology Club- meetings are every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 3:30 p.m.- 4 p.m. in room 417 on the Menifee campus. The club charter is being changed, and the movie nights are to be announced. iv. Menifee S.T.E.M.- turning in member form. v. 3-D Magic- is holding a movie event to view “The Dark Knight Rises” on March 20 in room 927 from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. vi. Anthropology- having a car wash on March 20 from 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the Albertsons on the corner of Scott and Antelope. The club is having some t-shirts donated. Meetings will now also be held every other Monday starting March 18 on the San Jacinto campus from 3 p.m.- 4 p.m. in room 1211. The field trip to the Renaissance Faire will be pushed to the next meeting due to the lack of some necessary signatures. Pam Ford will lecture at the San Jacinto campus with the details to be announced. vii. Political Science Will be co-hosting an event with the Challenge Club April 4th during college hour in room 408. viii. The Talon- is pushing back the deadline for the paper. The club has found a graphic designer, and the paper should be out next week. Any clubs that wish to add to event information, calendar events, etc. can email the talon at [email protected] ix. SWANS- will be holding a car wash fundraiser with the dates and time to be announced. The club will be volunteering at the Valley Restart center with the dates and times to be announced. x. Heart of Art-San Jacinto gallery will be having a movie viewing of “Banksy-exit through the gift shop” playing on March 18. Professor Mickgroenik will be holding a lecture today March 11 in room 1450 at 3:30 p.m. to discuss how to get galleries to notice ones work. xi. San Jacinto S.T.E.M.- The math competition went well, and there was a good turnout of students. Is planning on holding an Applebees breakfast with the dates and times to be announced. xii. Phi Theta Kappa- The orientations are underway. Will be holding an Applebees pancake breakfast at the location on Florida Ave. on March 16 from 8 a.m.- 10 a.m. The tickets are $10 each. The club will be holding a “scholars in action” event to pick the competitors for MSJC to go up against the other schools in the academic decathlon. The event will be held from 12:30 p.m.- 2:30 p.m. in room 600. xiii. History Club – Denise Dalamo will be discussing the history of Prop 8 on Thursday March 14 during college hour in room 1619. xiv. Mu Alpha Theta- will be participating in the “Hot Chocolate Race” in San Diego. The club will also be volunteering from 9:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. on Saturday March 23. The club will also be participating in the Relay for life event in Murrieta on May 18. The club will be selling pies at the campus BBQs in the month of March to celebrate Pi day. C. ICC Advisor Reports C.i. Nathan Brais- Wants to hold a meeting with the treasures on March 18 from 9:30 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. There will not be anymore ICC meetings held for the month of March. April 8 will be the next meeting. The clubs must bring all forms to the meetings on the day of event approval to get an event approved. This means the day of an item being on the agenda the club must bring in the event form, the minutes and agendas that correspond with the clubs requested event. The paperwork is mandatory. All purchase orders must be done before March 21. All clubs accounts will close for the rest of the semester as of March 21. All requests must be emailed to Kesia, Nathan, and Corrine. [email protected]; [email protected]; and [email protected]. No approvals will be made without the ALL of the necessary paperwork. The clubs will be audited, so all items (money, tickets, t-shirts) must be accounted for. Any fundraiser item being sold must be treated as its cash value, and it should be accounted for. If a club is selling discount cards all unsold cards must be accounted for as they are the same as cash. Treasurers should email Nathan for all fundraisers, deposits, etc. to make sure everything is being done properly. The elect her event is Saturday March 16 from 10 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. Free refreshments will be given, and everyone is invited to participate. It will be at MVC in room 805.
