PARENTS WHO CARE MTG NOTES Wednesday, August 31, 2016 Attending: Jodi Walland, Melissa Lange, Ann May, Amy Joseph, JoEllen Heatherly, Karen Beagle, Cindy Bone, Missy Everett, Beth Hadden, Beth Hallauer

Elected Officers for 2016-17: President – Beth Hallauer Vice-President – Amy Joseph Secretary – Karen Beagle Treasurer – Cindy Bone Treasurer’s Report: Amount available for 2016-17 start-up is approximately $5994. Unbudgeted revenues provided funding above expectations over the spring and summer. Pepsi credit for end of season returns, summer Pepsi rebate, Chipotle fundraiser, and substantial increases in both parent and business donations as well as ticket sales for AfterProm counteracted the decreased basketball concession revenues last spring. Cuts in some areas of AfterProm expenses also contributed to the financial health of the organization. Detailed financials for 2015-16 will be presented for review at the September 26 meeting. The Treasurer will present a proposed 2016-17 budget for consideration at the 9/26 meeting as well. PWC Website – Beth Hadden agreed to continue to update the PWC website. Any ideas for fundraising are welcomed. New fundraising avenues include:  PWC PeeWee Concessions – September 11, 2016 11am – 7:30pm, Volunteer sign-ups will be posted/sent out this week. Basketball Concessions Basketball schedule not finalized yet we will revisit this in September. There was discussion about ways of increasing the efficiency of the way we do concessions, including the possibility of purchasing a new microwave, a cheese dispenser and a pretzel warming unit. It was also discussed that we need to find a way to have them form two lines approaching the stand for decreased wait time – Some sort of stanchion/rope or other type of dividers.

AfterProm - Preliminary discussion/ideas Date: May 20, 2016 @ Antioch Shrine The decision regarding the proposal to move AfterProm to Scene 75 this year was tabled to the next meeting because there are too many questions unanswered about the feasibility. JoEllen will talk to Theresa Dunaway to find out if we can get a representative from Scene 75 to attend our September 26 meeting to answer all of the questions that have arisen before a decision will be made. Prom theme will be finalized by Student Senate in December

Meeting adjourned at 8:30pm. Next meeting is Monday, September 26
