Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day management of Moore Nature Reserve following the site management plan. Strong presence on site to ensure health and safety of site users and wildlife. Page: 1 of 2 Key responsibilities will be;

 All health and safety for site users – staff, volunteers, contractors, consultants and visitors  Undertaking practical habitat and infrastructure works  Patrolling the site and keeping records of safety checks  Managing the P & L budget  Preparing and following work programmes based on management plan  Organising and leading a programme of educational events  Representing FCC Environment in a positive manner to the general public  Keeping good records of all activities, incidents, wildlife records

Qualifications and Experience (preferred)

 Further / higher education qualification in Ecology, Conservation or related subject  Experience of day to day management of urban fringe public access recreational site  Used to working outdoors in all conditions and physical work involving use of power tools and hand tools  British wildlife identification skills and survey competence and experience, particularly European Protected Species

Personal Qualities

 High level of responsibility and accountability at all times.  Proven record of organizing own workload to maximize efficiency.  Good timekeeping.  Comfortable giving presentations to a wide range of audiences.  Comfortable dealing with the general public.  Ability to enforce site rules to ensure health and safety of visitors, sometimes in very challenging situations.
