There will be a Veterinary Surgeon and a Farrier on call. First Aid will be in attendance. The organisers of the show have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the HEALTH & SAFETY of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring, and they must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards. No responsibility will be accepted by the organisers for any loss, damage, illness or injury sustained by the exhibitors, riders, or their animals and entries are accepted on this basis. Anyone on a horse must wear a hard hat. Grooms must wear a hat when in the ring.

This Show is a Qualifier for The ‘Torne Valley’ Supreme Ridden Mountain & Moorland Championship

This show is a qualifier for Horse of the Year Show at NEC Birmingham (Wednesday 4th- Sunday 8th October 2017), the highest placed pony not already qualified from the first five ponies will qualify in Classes 1-10, 14-17, 19, 21,22. These classes will be run in accordance with the general rules as set out in the Horse of the Year rule book – a copy of which can be downloaded from www.hoys.co.uk. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show office. The entry fees in these classes include an £12 Horse of the Year Show contribution.

This show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society (BSPS 100/17) (01487831376) and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in BSPS classes whether or not members of the BSPS are subject to the constitution and rules of the BSPS, including the disciplinary procedures and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the BSPS. Owners and riders must be BSPS, NPS, The Showing Register or PUK members and the pony registered with the BSPS, NPS, The Showing Register or PUK and a valid JMB number lodges with that society to compete in classes with Horse of the Year Show qualification. This show is a qualifier for the 2017 BSPS Championships Show. The first and second prize winners in classes 1-9,12,15-17 and the first three prize winners in classes 11,14,20-22 will qualify providing the animal is registered in accordance with rules 23 and 28 and ridden by a BSPS member. Classes 26-33 are not qualifiers for the BSPS Championships.

Any pony taking part in classes judged under BSPS rules, will be liable to dope testing.

This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Blue Riband Pony of the Year. The first and second prize winners in classes 1-9,14-17,20-22 will qualify, provided the pony is owned, registered and ridden by a BSPS member.

This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Classic Security UK Ltd Challenge. Animals must qualify for the Challenge by attending any BSPS affiliated show and competing in the appropriate class. Ponies must NOT have qualified for the 2017 Horse of the Year Show in the appropriate class.

This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Premier League. First, second, third and fourth prize winners in classes11,12,18,20,34,35,37,38 will qualify.

This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Champion of Champions. The Champion Mini and Open Show Pony, the Champion Open Show Hunter Pony, Champion Open Working Hunter Pony, Champion Intermediate will qualify. Ponies that have been placed first in classes 18, 34,35 37,38 will qualify for the BSPS ‘Industrial Salt’ Heritage Wow Factor (Winner of Winners) at the BSPS Summer Championship Show

The Best Rider in classes 1-12, 14-17,20-22, 34,35 and the best rider 25 years and under in classes 18 and 37,38 will receive a card and qualify for the ‘BSPS Black Country Saddles’ Rider of the Year at the BSPS Championships Show.

Any exhibitor placed in the first three in classes 20 -22 may enter the ‘RISING STARS’ classes at the BSHA National Championship Show, September at Addington. No qualifying card required. ______RING ONE CLASSES WILL FOLLOW ON AS BELOW AT APPROPRIATE TIMES

Suitable to be ridden by a rider not to have attained their eighth birthday before 1 January 2017. Ponies must be shown in snaffle bridles only. The lead rein must be affixed to the noseband. No child under the age of three may compete. Entry Fee: £48

Class 2: Price Family First Ridden Pony of the Year mare or gelding 4 years and over not exceeding 122cms. Suitable to be ridden by a rider not to have attained their tenth birthday before 1 January 2017. Ponies to be shown in snaffle bridles only, off the leading rein. No cantering will be allowed except in the individual performance. Entry Fee: £48

CH1 MINI SHOW PONY CHAMPIONSHIP First and Second prize winners from classes 1 ,2 The champion qualifies for the BSPS Binks Family Champion of Champions The Champion & Reserve Champion to go forward to the Colosso Family Supreme Mini Pony Championship Final This competition is open to ponies, four years old or over, mares and geldings. Ponies must be registered with either NPS, Ponies (UK), TSR, or BSPS and a valid JMB number lodged with that society. Riders and Owners must be members of either NPS, Ponies (UK), TSR, or BSPS. This competition is open to ponies, four years old or over, mares and geldings. Ponies must be registered with either NPS, Ponies (UK), TSR, or BSPS and a valid JMB number lodged with that society. Riders and Owners must be members of either NPS, Ponies (UK), TSR, or BSPS. Marks will be awarded in the following way: Manners & Way of Going - 50 Marks Maximum Conformation, Type & Freedom of Action - 50 Marks Maximum In the case of equality, the pony with the highest Manners & Way of Going mark will be deemed the winner. If there is still equality at this point, then the judges’ decision will be final.

HORSE OF THE YEAR SHOW WORKING HUNTER PONY CLASSES This competition is open to mares and geldings, four years old or over. Ponies must be registered with either NPS, Ponies (UK), TSR, or BSPS and a valid JMB number lodged with that society. Riders and Owners must be members of either NPS, Ponies (UK), TSR, or BSPS. Marks will be awarded in the following way: PHASE I (70 MARKS) A: JUMPING POINTS 50 MARKS B: STYLE WHILE JUMPING 20 MARKS PHASE II (30 MARKS) C: CONFORMATION, TYPE AND FREEDOM OF ACTION 20 MARKS D: MANNERS & WAY OF GOING 10 MARKS In the event of equality the TOTAL MARK from Phase 1 will take precedence, followed by the MANNERS Mark, and then the CONFORMATION, TYPE and FREEDOM OF ACTION MARK.

Ponies to be registered within one or more of the following stud books - the Part Bred or Anglo Arab section of the Arab Horse Society, the Part Bred section of the Welsh Pony & Cob /Dartmoor Stud Books with a minimum of 12.5% Arab/Welsh/Dartmoor blood. The Part Bred section of the British Connemara/New Forest Stud Books with a minimum of 25% Connemara/New Forest blood. This class will be run under the general rules as set out in the HOYS rule book- view www.hoys.co.uk Entry Fee: £48

The top three PBAR/ANGLO ARAB ponies to go forward to the June Horsfall Supreme Ridden Part Bred & Anglo Arab Championship Final 1. Animals must not exceed 148cm.A valid JMB number must be lodged with Grandstand Media Ltd prior to entry in any qualifying round. 2. A copy of the pony’s passport, showing its registration or over stamping with either the AHS, WPCS,DPS,BCPS or NFPB&CS must be logged with Grandstand Media Ltd prior to entry in any qualifying round. 3. All ponies must be shown plaited and in a coloured browband. All riders must wear a dark coloured jacket. 4. Riders and Owners must be members of either NPS, P(UK), TSR, BSPS, CHAPS, AHS, WPCS, DPS, BCPS or NFPB&CS. 5. Riders of stallions must have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January in the current year. 6. Qualification will not pass below 5th Place and qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show office. 7. Marks will be awarded in the following way: Performance - 50 Marks Maximum Conformation, Movement & Quality - 50 Marks Maximum In the case of equality, the horse with the highest Performance mark will be deemed the winner. If there is still equality at this point, then the judges’ decision will be final.

Stallions are required to be graded with CHAPS (UK) and wear CHAPS stallion discs in order to compete. OLYMPIA ANTHONY EVANS SSADL SECOND ROUND QUALIFIERS – Competitors competing in the Olympia Second Round Qualifier MUST hold a 2017 SSADL Acceptance Card along with their SSADL Rider/Handler /Pony/ Horse Membership Registration Card or a covering letter from the SSADL Head Office. The same rider/handler/pony/horse combination Must have already qualified at one of the SSAD Ltd Olympia First Round Qualifiers. Competitors MUST produce both the above cards at the ring side before entry – NO CARDS NO ENTRY. No substitutions will be accepted. In order for a competitor to be eligible to compete at the Olympia Senior Showing Grand Final at Olympia, ALL ponies/horses MUST meet the current FEI Vaccination Regulations. No substitutions will be accepted. All members MUST display the SSADL pony/horse bridle age badge – failure will result in disqualication. All stallions MUST wear the SSADL Stallion badge at all times..must be displayed on the pony/horse bridle. CHAPS (UK) COLOURED CLASSES NB: These classes will not start until after CH 10

This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK) (17121). Both the owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. However in order to qualify both Owner and Rider/Exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid qualifier card IN THE RING for signing by the judge. Classes 68-72 are CHAPS (UK) Qualifiers. The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 30th August – 2nd September 2017. Members to apply in writing to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier card. All Stallions 4 years old and over entering these classes must be graded with CHAPS (UK). All Stallions must wear ID Discs in the ring without exception.
