Black History Month We were pleased to welcome Carlton Young OBE back to St Mark’s to talk to the children about having aspirations to ‘be the best you can be’. In their PSHE lessons children are researching inspirational people from history and you will be able to see their work displayed in school after half term.
Children are invited to wear cultural dress on Tuesday 18th October. You are invited to join us for our Collective Worship and celebration at 9.10. You will also be able to drop into your child’s class to join in with their learning marking our Cultural Day and Black History Month – see your child’s class teacher for details of what’s happening in their class . Key Stage 2 Toilets Last term we submitted plans to Reach 2 Estate management team for the refurbishment of the Key Stage 2 toilets and they are actively seeking funding for this project. It is intended that this will take place in the late Autumn or early Spring term. In the meantime we have carried out some repairs, reviewed our cleaning regime and are monitoring the toilets regularly
New Lunch Menu We will be trialling some changes to our menu in the week beginning 17th October. There will be Piri Piri Chicken and Chips on Thursday and Tuna Pasta Bake on Friday.
