Position: Automotive Technology Teacher

Position: Automotive Technology Teacher FTE: 1.0 Location: Revelstoke Secondary School Status: Full-Time Temporary Effective Date(s): August 30th, 2017 to June 29th, 2018

Summary:

This position will involve instruction in Automotive Technology 11 & 12; Engine and Drive Train 12; Metal Fabrication 11; Technology Education 9 & 10 (General) and one area to be determined depending the successful candidate’s strength.

Qualifications:

1. A valid BC Professional Teaching Certificate;

2. Must possess specialized education in Automotive Technology;

3. Must have demonstrated success working with secondary students in a shop environment;

4. Must possess demonstrated competence as an automotive technician;

5. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet a range of abilities and interests;

6. Ability to provide a program of instruction which incorporates the theoretical and practical components of the programs; and

7. Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
