DOT Action Description

Florida - US 17 Duval - Relocation of U.S. 17 in Duval County - This route now goes APPROVED BY Relocation through residential and commercial areas. The local USRN & SCOH 5/5- government has requested the conversion of much of this 6/2006 section of roadway from a one-way pair of roadways back to two-way operation. Upon conversion, this route will no longer meet the intent of the U. S. highway system, and will function more as a local street. The proposed routing, mostly on U.S. 23 and Interstates 95 and 10, will be faster and more convenient to the traveling public.

Florida - US 98 Gulf - Relocation of U.S. 98 in Gulf County - This request is to APPROVED BY Relocation relocate a 3.583 mile portion of U.S. 98 in Gulf County onto a USRN & SCOH 5/5- newly constructed roadbed away from the Gulf coast. There 6/2006 it will be less vulnerable to erosion, road damage, and closure due to hurricanes and tropical storms in the Gulf of Mexico. At a public hearing in Port St. Joe a large majority of comments favored the change. Florida - US 98 Palm Beach - Relocation of U.S. 98 in Palm Beach County - U.S. 98 is APPROVED BY Relocation currently on a predominantly two lane undivided road, SR USRN & SCOH 5/5- 700. The proposed route, along U.S. 441, is a four lane 6/2006 divided highway that will provide better service to the traveling public.

Georgia - US 27 Relocation Beginning at the junction of present U.S. Route 27 and a new APPROVED BY facility under construction southeast of Frankiln, then USRN & SCOH 5/5- extending northwesterly over the facility for 4.8 miles to the 6/2006 junction with present U.S. 27 north of Franklin. Georgia - US 319 Business - Eliminate the existing U.S. Route 319 Business designation APPROVED BY Elimination beginning at the intersection of U.S. Route 319 in USRN & SCOH 5/5- Thomasville and extending northeasterly over 6/2006 the facility for 5.51 miles to U.S. Route 319 northeast of Thomasville. Georgia - US 441 Relocation Beginning at the junction of present U.S. Route 441 and a APPROVED BY new facility under construction north of Athens, then USRN & SCOH 5/5- extending northwesterly over the facility for 3.0 miles to the 6/2006 junction with present U.S. Route 441 south of Nicholson. Iowa - APPROVED US 34 - Relocation Beginning at the intersection of present US Route 34 and a BY USRN & SCOH new facility being constructed west of Agency, then 5/5-6/2006 northeasterly and easterly and southeasterly over the facility for 5.99 miles to the intersection of present US Route 34 of Agency. Iowa - APPROVED US 75 - Relocation Beginning at the intersection of present US Route 75 and a BY USRN & SCOH new facility southwest of LeMars, then northerly and 5/5-6/2006 northeasterly over the facility for 5.42 miles to the intersection of present US Route 75 north of LeMars.

Iowa - APPROVED US 75 Business Beginning at the intersection of present US Route 75 and an BY USRN & SCOH existing facility souwest of LeMars, then northeasterly and 5/5-6/2006 northerly over the facility for 4.65 miles to the intersection of present US 75 north of LeMars. Iowa - APPROVED US 275 - Relocation Beginning at the intersection of present US Route 275 and a BY USRN & SCOH new facility being constructed south of Sidney, then 5/5-6/2006 northeasterly and northerly and northwesterly over the facility for 3.71 miles to the intersection of present US Route 275 north of Sidney. Kansas - US 77 Business - With the completion of the final portion of the new alignment APPROVED BY Elimination of US-77 around the eastern side of the city, the need for a USRN & SCOH 5/5- through town business route has diminished sharply and is 6/2006 hereby being eliminated. Kansas - US 54 Relocation Beginning at the Kansas/Missouri state line the relocation APPROVED BY (minor re-alignment) continues west for 5 miles to Junction USRN & SCOH 5/5- US-69 where it ends just east of Fort Scott. 6/2006 Kansas - US 75 - Relocation Minor re-alignment at the junction of state route 39 which APPROVED BY (Buffalo) removes the existing US-75 alignment from the dam at USRN & SCOH 5/5- Wilson County State Lake. 6/2006

Kansas - US 75 - Relocation Beginning just north of town of Sabetha the new alignment APPROVED BY (Fairview) continues for 12 miles southeasterly to Fairview and crosses USRN & SCOH 5/5- US Route 36 and then south for 38 miles to Holton.. 6/2006

Kentucky - US 60 Relocation Relocation begins at the intersection of SR 1832 and APPROVED BY continues southwesterly to SR 2724 where it begins to shift USRN & SCOH 5/5- upward slightly and continues west to Hog Wallow for a total 6/2006 of 3.9 miles. Missouri - US 136 Relocation Relocation begins at the intersection of existing US Route APPROVED BY 136 and County Road 430 and continues east ~ 0.5 miles USRN & SCOH 5/5- north of the existing US Route 136 that is to be obliterated 6/2006 and ends at State Route 139 North for a total of 4.45 miles. Missouri - US 24/65 Relocation This is an existing route currently available to traffic and will APPROVED BY - Extension remain available to traffic, the new portion of US 24 was open USRN & SCOH 5/5- to traffic August 25, 2004. Details on the route can be found 6/2006 on page 2 of MO application. New York - US 44 Relocation Page 2 of the NY application for US Route 44 explains details APPROVED BY for the request. The overall length of the route is reduced by USRN & SCOH 5/5- approximately 0.4 miles. There also will be no changes 6/2006 made to the control cities as the route change is confined to the Village of Millbrook (town of Washington, NY). New York - US 62 Business - The new US 62 Business will begin at the intersection of APPROVED BY Establishment route 104 and Pine Avenue, City of Niagara Falls and USRN & SCOH 5/5- continues east on an existing facility for 2.2 miles crossing 6/2006 route 61 and ends and joins US Route 62.

North Carolina - US 117 - Relocation The relocation of US 117 begins westerly of Goldsboro over APPROVED BY a newly constructed facility and continues north crossing US USRN & SCOH 5/5- Route 70 in Wayne County and ends at the junction of US 6/2006 301 west of city of Wilson in Wilson County (22 miles).

North Carolina - US 117 Alternate - The establishment of US 117 Alternate begins by joining US APPROVED BY Establishment 117 and continues east of US 117 crossing US 70 in USRN & SCOH 5/5- Goldsboro continues travelling paralell to US 117 in Wayne 6/2006 County where it joins US 301 southwesterly of city of Wilson in Wilson County and merges and continues northwesterly with US Route 264 (23.30 miles).

North Carolina - US 321 Alternate - Relocation of this route is within Lenoir, NC and is less than 1 APPROVED BY Relocation mile. See map on page 3 of the NC application. USRN & SCOH 5/5- 6/2006

North Dakota - US 281 - Relocation The new US 281 location is on an existing facility ~ 5 miles APPROVED BY south of Minnewaukan, proceding north for ~ 20 miles where USRN & SCOH 5/5- it connects to US 2 and turns east to the junction of US 281 6/2006 North. Ohio - APPROVED US 30 - Relocation The US route 30 begins at the eastern end of the Bucyrus BY USRN & SCOH (Bucyrus) bypass on a new alignment, crosses over State Route 602, 5/5-6/2006 continuing east and crossing State Route 598 northwesterly of Galion, continuing east and crossing State Route 61south of Crestline to the western end of the Ontario bypass, near State Route 314 (~16.5 miles). Ohio - APPROVED US 30 - Relocation US 30 begins at the intersection with State Route 3, just BY USRN & SCOH (Wooster) southwest of Wooster and extends east to a point where it 5/5-6/2006 joins an existing facility of US 30 near the intersection with State Road 57. The first 2.6 miles is reconstruction of existing highway on the same alignment, where it bypasses the city of Wooster; the other 8 miles (East of Wooster) is new construction of a new alignment. (~10.6 miles) Pennsylvania - I-376 - Extension See page 2 of the application regarding this interstate change APPROVED BY within Allegheny County, City of Pittsburgh. The application USRN & SCOH 5/5- is submitted in accordance with Section 1304. High Piority 6/2006 Cooridors on the National Highway System amended and approved August 2005 (SAFETEA-LU) Texas - US 259 - BU 82/BU 277 begins at the intersection of the new location APPROVED BY Recognition of of US 259. The route travels south through the business USRN & SCOH 5/5- Business Route district of the city of Kilgore over the former location of US 6/2006 259 then terminates at the intersection of the new location of US 259 a distance of approximately 6.6 miles. US 259 begins at the intersection of the new location of BU 259. The route travels south around the city of Kilgore over a new location then terminates at the intersection of the new location of BU 259 a distance of approximately 6.9 miles. Texas - US 82/277 - BU 82/BU 277 begins at the intersection of the new location APPROVED BY Establishment and of US 82/ US 277. The route travels west through the USRN & SCOH 5/5- Recognition of a business district of the city of Holiday over the former location 6/2006 Business Route of US 82/US 277 then terminates at the intersection of the new location of US 82/ US 277 a distance of approximately 3.5 miles. US 82/ US 277 begins at the intersection of the new location of BU 82/ BU 277. The route travels west around the city of Holiday over a new location then terminates at the intersection of the new location of BU 82/ BU 277 a distance of approximately 3.6 miles. Virginia - US Bike Route 1 - The relocated US Bike Route 1 located in norther Henrico APPROVED BY Relocation County travels north on Woodman Road, turns left on USRN & SCOH 5/5- Hungary Road, and then right on Purcell Road. At the end of 6/2006 Purcell Road, the route turns right, then immediately left on Old Washington Highway. It continues straight and under I- 295 on Old Washington Highway until it rejoins the existing route at its intersection with Greenwood. (3.9 miles) Map is on page 4 of the application. Virginia - US Bike Route 1 - The relocated US Bike Route 1 in Chesterfield County travels APPROVED BY Relocation south on Winterfield Road and then crosses U.S. 60 onto USRN & SCOH 5/5- LeGordon Drive, turns left onto Garnett Lane, and then right 6/2006 onto Charter Colony Parkway. It then turns right on Genito Road, the original route. (5.3 miles) Map on page 4 of the application. Map is on page 5 of the application

Virginia - US Bike Route 76 - In the Town of Christiansburg, traveling from east to west, the APPROVED BY Relocation new U.S. Bike Route 76 segment departs from the existing USRN & SCOH 5/5- route at the intersection of Cambria St. and Depot St. From 6/2006 that point, the new route turns west and follows Depot St. 1.5 miles to its intersection with College St. At this intersection, the new USBR 76 segment would rejoin the existing route which follows College St. to the south and west. Map is on page 4 of the application.

Virginia - US Bike Route 76 - In Henrico County the relocated U.S. Bike Route 76 will APPROVED BY Relocation proceed straight across U.S. 60 onto Meadow Road. It USRN & SCOH 5/5- continues on Meadow Rd. for 2.6 miles and then turns right 6/2006 onto Grapevine Road. At the end of Grapevine Road (1.5 miles), the route turns right on Old Hanover Road, continues for 0.1 miles and then turns right on S.R. 156 to rejoin existing USBR 76.
