FORBES SHIRE COUNCIL 2015 FORBES YOUTH SHORT FILM FESTIVAL RULES AND REQUIREMENTS

Rules and Requirements 1 Entrants for the Junior Section must be aged between 13 and 17. 2 Entrants for the Senior Section must be aged between 18 and 24. 3 A maximum of 8 people per group entry. 4 Each team MUST nominate a producer/team manager and provide contact information. 5 Entries must be between 3-5 minutes in duration. 6 Animations and documentaries accepted. 7 Must be the film’s first public screening. Must have the words ‘It Starts With Us’ in the film, can be either spoken or visual and include the 8 compulsory item, an EGG. 9 Can be shot and edited with any devise eg. mobile phone, laptop, or camera. 1 Camera equipment and editing must be supplied by each team (Council will not provide any equipment) 0 1 Films must be submitted in DVD Format. 1 1 Each team must nominate the individual(s) that will retain ownership (copyright) of the film; the owner(s) of the copyright give permission (free of charge) to Forbes Youth Advisory and Forbes Shire Council to 2 screen the films at community events, activities and on social media. 1 Must submit a maximum 100 word synopsis of film. 3 1 Film can be in non-English language, but must include subtitles. 4 1 Films must be rated PG, and must NOT contain or depict swearing or sexual/violent imagery. 5 1 Forbes Shire Council is not liable for illegal or dangerous activity conducted through participation in this 6 competition. 1 All entrants must complete the Team Registration Form and Participation and Publicity Consent Form. 7 1 The film must NOT contain copyright material (eg. music, imagery) without written permission of the 8 copyright owner; a copy of the written permission must be supplied as part of the entry in the competition. 1 The prize money will be awarded to the producer/team manager; distribution of the prize is a responsibility 9 of the team. 2 Film credits must be a maximum of 15 seconds. 0 2 Entries must be submitted by Friday 10 April 2015 to Council’s Youth Liaison Officer, Forbes Shire 1 Council, PO Box 333, FORBES NSW 2871.

ANY TEAM THAT DISOBEYS AND RULE WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED FROM THE COMPETITION

Films that are disqualified from the competition WILL NOT be screened at the official screening.
