VACANCY

Position: ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

Description: Must have knowledge/experience of principles and practices of expenditures; check writing; vendor credit; 1099s; and purchase orders. Duties will include working with principals and supervisors regarding general purpose expenditures; notarizing documents as required for the Board of Education; receipt of deliveries and check against purchase orders; maintain backup documents for all general purpose expenditures; request and receive credits where needed; write vendor checks for general purpose and Federal Projects expenditures; work with and provide information for auditors; prepare specific expenditure spreadsheets when requested (i.e., school budgets, utilities, staff development, fuel analysis, Erate); submit applications for vendor credit; maintain and submit proper documentation to the County Budget Director’s Office; maintain copier, phone, and cell phone accounts; maintain copy paper inventory; perform backup of Local Government server, when needed; prepare year end 1099s; backup payroll; such other tasks as may be assigned by the Supervisor of Budget & Accounting and/or the Director of Schools; and be able to interact well with others.

Qualifications: Applicants must hold a High School Diploma or GED and at least two (2) years experience in accounts payable/payroll.
