Hebrews 11:1 - “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”

Example: Mark Twain... “Some people worry about the passages in the Bible they don’t understand. What worries me most are the Bible passages I do understand!

“The Righteous Live By Faith!”

I – “Is The Way”

Scripture: Isaiah 30:21 – “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”

G – “God’s Way Is Right”

Scripture: Luke 7:29 – “(All the people, even the tax collectors, when they heard Jesus’ words, acknowledged that God’s way was right...” Argue With God..... But Still The Fact Is.... His Way Is Right! Page 3

T – “Tire? Never Tire!”

Scripture: 2 Thessalonians 3:13 – “And as for you, brothers, never tire of doing what is right.”

Example: For those things that we like to do, we never get tired! Video Games.... Spend Hours Surfing The Web... Hours Can Go By, Never Tire! Hunting... Cold, Damp, Dark Duck Blind... Love It!

Who’s Battle Is It???? Scripture: 2 Chronicles 20:15 – “He said: Listen, King Jehosphaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. FOR THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS, BUT GOD’S.”

Scripture: Isaiah 40:31a “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;

E – “Evil Is Right There!’

Scripture: Romans 7:21 – “So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.”

Scripture: Romans 8:26 – “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.”

O – “Others”

Scripture: James 2:8 – “If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’, you are doing right.”

1. Some people aren’t easy to Love.... Love them anyway! 2. Some people aren’t easy to forgive...forgive them anyway! 3. Colossians 3:13 b - ...Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”

Example: Shortly after the close of the Civil War, a former slave entered a fashionable church in Richmond, one Sunday morning at the beginning of a communion service. When the time came, he walked down the aisle and knelt at the altar. A rustle of shock and anger swept through the congregation. A distinguished layman immediately stood up, stepped forward to the altar and knelt beside this Christian brother. Captured by his spirit, the congregation followed. The layman who set the example: Robert E. Lee. Page 5

U – “Ungodly”

Scripture: Romans 5:6 - “You see, AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.”

Example: Illustration- Two Brothers You may have heard about the two brothers who were wicked, ungodly, lewd men. The were perverts, adulterers, drunkards, thieves, brawlers, blasphemous- you name it One of the brothers died, and the other brother came to a preacher sand said, “I will give you a thousand dollars if you will preach my brother’s funeral and call him a saint.” The preacher said, “You’ve got a deal.” At the funeral, with the other brother sitting up front, the preacher stood up and pointed to the deceased. “The man in this casket was a liar, a thief, a drunkard, a pervert, an adulterer, and a blasphemer. But compared to his brother here, he was a saint.”

S – “Sons Have Full Rights”

Scripture: Galatians 4:6-7 – “Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, the Spirit who calls out, ‘Abba, Father.’ Vs. 7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.”

Example: In 1949, Mr. Wurm was broke and out of a job. No job and no money, just like some of us here. One day he was walking along a San Francisco beach when he came across a bottle with a piece of paper in it. As he read the note, he discovered that it was the last will and testament of Daisy Singer Alexander, heir to the Singer sewing machine fortune. The note read, “To avoid confusion, I leave my entire estate to the lucky person who finds this bottle and to my attorney, Barry Cohen, share and share alike.” The courts accepted the theory that the heiress had written the note 12 years earlier, and had thrown the bottle into the Thames River in London, from where it had drifted across the oceans to the feet of a penniless and jobless Jack Wurm. His chance discovery netted him over 6 million dollars in cash and Singer stock. Get It Right!!!!!!!
