SOUTH 14 CAROLINA AMERICA 2013. 15 16 Whereas, the members of the South Carolina General Assembly 17 were pleased to learn that Jennifer LovedayDonovan was named 18 Mrs. South Carolina America 2013 in the November 2012 pageant; 19 and 20 21 Whereas, a native of Charleston, she has held thirteen titles during 22 the course of her pageant experience in the Miss America, Miss 23 Universe, and Miss United States systems, with her highest honor 24 as the only woman to hold the coveted Triple Crown as Miss South 25 Carolina Teen United States 1999, Miss South Carolina United 26 States 2005, and Mrs. South Carolina United States 2010; and 27 28 Whereas, she placed in the top twelve at Miss United States Teen, 29 third runnerup at Miss United States, and 5th runnerup at Mrs. 30 United States, and she will continue her quest to become Mrs. 31 America this August when she competes for the title in Arizona; 32 and 33 34 Whereas, Jennifer has graced the covers of several national 35 magazines such as Supermodels Unlimited and Brides. She has 36 also been featured by the International Dove campaign in Time 37 Square and Shanghai, and locally she appears in ad campaigns, 38 billboards, and storefronts; and 39 40 Whereas, she earned a degree in political science from the College 41 of Charleston and a master's in political science and a master's in 42 teaching from The Citadel, and she is currently completing her

[216] 2 1 final year in a doctorateofeducation program at Walden University; 2 and 3 4 Whereas, a secondary education instructor at Garrett Academy of 5 Technology, a Distinguished Title I School, she serves as the 6 junior class sponsor, the prom coordinator, a library advisory 7 board member, and a homebound instructor; and 8 9 Whereas, with their two English Bulldogs Miss Ellie Mae and 10 Mister Banx, Jennifer and her beloved husband, Jason, reside in 11 Charleston. In their spare time they enjoy working out, boating, 12 traveling, attending sporting events, and becoming wine and 13 cheese connoisseurs; and 14 15 Whereas, the members of the South Carolina General Assembly 16 appreciate the pride and recognition that Jennifer 17 LovedayDonovan has brought to her community and to the 18 Palmetto State and wish her success and happiness in all her future 19 endeavors. Now, therefore, 20 21 Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives 22 concurring: 23 24 That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this 25 resolution, recognize and honor Jennifer LovedayDonovan of 26 Charleston County, and congratulate her for being named Mrs. 27 South Carolina America 2013. 28 29 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to 30 Jennifer LovedayDonovan. 31 XX 32
