A joint is a place in the skeleton where two or more bones meet. Some joints allow movement, others are for protection. Examine a model or a photograph of the human leg bones. Locate the following bones: pelvis, femur, tibia. There are two joints in this model of the leg. One is a hinge joint, the other is a ball and socket joint. Identify each joint. Check you answers with you teacher.
