H.A.S. Development Committee Meeting Minutes April 14, 2016

Attendance: Pam Bollen, Mike Sternig, Amy Barnes, Kara Guse, Chad Wohlt, Ross Zautner, Ingrid Laforest, Peter German, Karen Girard

1. Prayer Led by Pam

2. Approval of Minutes from last meeting Ingrid approved 2/18/16 minutes; Amy seconded; motion carried

3. Alumni Relations

● Nothing new to report

4. Annual Fund

● Will go forward as usual this fall

5. Fundraising

● Soles for Education: October 15; renewed effort to find a co-chair to work with Kara for this event

● Ross gave updated totals on Fish fry & raffle; totals were similar to last year’s

● To be considered for next year’s raffle: since donations to classroom gift baskets have been so generous, suggest to room parents they divide the items up into several smaller gift baskets rather than one large one

● Golf outing: August 5

6. Grant Writing

● Pam passed along a report she received from this committee; they are finding few grants that HAS qualifies for

7. HAM

● No winter issue; next issue will go out 2nd week of May and will include Valentine party, Fish Fry & Raffle, and coupon for free beverage at the Festival of Angels

8. PAC

● Search continues for new co-chairperson(s) for next year

● Teacher appreciation week schedule is set

● Suggestion that families donating food for events be given clearer guidelines on quantity of food being requested

9. PR/Marketing/Recruiting

● No update 10. New Business ● To be considered for next year’s Grandparent’s Day: have a photo booth to take pictures of grandparents with their grandchildren, with photos and notes of appreciation mailed to grandparents
