Application Details Consumption / Dosage 1 – 5 Litres per 50 kg cement. Recommended dosage is 2 Litre per 50 kg cement

Application Conditions / Limitations

Application Instructions Dispensing Sika® -Quickset is added to the gauging water. Application Method / Ensure that Sika® -Quickset is thoroughly mixed prior to use. Tools Add Sika® -Quickset to the clean mixing water and stir thoroughly before adding to the mortar/concrete mix. The volume of Sika® -Quickset depends on the required setting time. For cement mortars it is advisable to use a 1:4 cement sand mix. For concrete, a minimum of 300kg/m3 cement is recommended, with a minimum 28 day compressive strength of 25Mpa. Leak Plugging Add approximately 3 parts fresh Portland cement to 1 part Sika® -Quickset and mix thoroughly until plastic consistency is achieved (+ 30 seconds). Form a plug and compress it into the cavity, applying pressure continuously for approximately 2 minutes until cement has set. Rapid setting and Hardening Add the Sika® -Quickset and water mixture to the dry cement mortar/concrete mixing thoroughly and quickly until a homogeneous mix is achieved. Place in position immediately. Do not apply loads or traffic for at least 6 hours. Cleaning of Tools Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened / cured material can only be mechanically removed. Notes on Application / When using Sika®-Quickset a suitable mix design has been taken into account and Limitations local material sources should be trialled. Sika® -Quickset contains calcium chloride and should not be used in concrete or mortar which has reinforcing bars or comes into direct contact with steel. Sika® -Quickset should not be added to dry cement. Sika® -Quickset should be added with the mixing water or introduced at the end of the mixing process. Before application, suitability tests must be performed.
