3 HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION

INVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS  In the environment, this substance and / or its components are expected to remain on the water and soil surface and persist.

PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL HAZARDS / FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS  Low hazard. Material can form flammable mixtures or can burn only upon heating to temperatures at or above the flash point.  Decomposes. Flammable / toxic gases will form upon decomposition. See Section 10 “STABILITY AND REACTIVITY”.  Toxic gases will form upon combustion. See Section 5 “FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES”.  Dust. Material in form of dust is subject to explosions.

4 FIRST AID MEASURES

INHALATION:  In case of adverse exposure to vapours and /or aerosols formed at elevated temperatures, immediately remove the affected victim from exposure. Administer artificial respiration if breathing is stopped. Keep at rest. Call for prompt medical attention. SKIN CONTACT:  Flush with large amounts of water; use soap if available.  For hot product; immediately immerse in or flush the affected area with large amounts of cold water to dissipate heat. Cover with clean cotton sheeting or gauze and get prompt medical attention. No attempt should be made to remove material from skin or to remove contaminated clothing, as the damaged flesh can be easily torn. EYE CONTACT:  Flush eyes with large amounts of water until irritation subsides. If irritation persists, get medical attention. INGESTION:  First aid is normally not required.

5 FIRE- FIGHTING MEASURES

FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES:  Use water spray to cool fire exposed surfaces and to protect personnel. Block the supply to the fire.  Use foam, dry chemical, or water spray to extinguish fire. SPECIAL FIRE PRECAUTIONS:  Respiratory and eye protection required for fire fighting personnel.  Avoid spraying water directly into storage containers due to danger of boilover.  See also Section 4 “FIRST AID MEASURES” as well as Section 10 “STABILITY AND REACTIVITY”.

HASARDOUS COMBUSTION PRODUCTS: None, beside those normally expected from hydrocarbon fires. 6 ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

LAND SPILL:  Sweep up spilled material and place in suitable containers for recycle or disposal.  Consult an expert on disposal of recovered material and ensure conformity to local disposal regulations.  See Section 4 “FIRST AID MEASURES” as well as Section 10 “STABILITY AND REACTIVITY”.

WATER SPILL:  Stop source if possible to do so without hazard. Advise authorities of possible floating substances, if material enters watercourses or sewers. Confine if possible.  Skim from surface.

 Consult an expert on disposal of any recovered material and ensure conformity to local disposal regulations.  See also Section 4 “FIRST AID MEASURES” and Section 10 “STABILITY AND REACTIVITY”.

MATERIALS AND COATINGS SUITABLE : Paper Steel Polyethylene Polypropylene STORAGE / HANDLING, GENERAL NOTES  DO NOT handle, store or open near an open flame, sources of heat or sources of ignition. Protect material from direct sunlight.  Material will accumulate static charges which may cause an electrical spark (ignition source). Use proper bonding and / or grounding procedures.  DO NOT stack pallets of bagged material. The product may be dimensionally unstable under certain conditions (temperature, sunlight).

8 EXPOSURE CONTROLS /PERSONAL PROTECTION

ENGINEERING CONTROL MEASURES / VENTILATION Local exhaust ventilation of process equipment may be needed to control exposures to below the recommended threshold exposure limit.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS

This product contains material which, when handled under certain conditions (open heating and /or mechanical shear), the following component(s) with a recognised or recommended OEL value may be released:

PERSONAL PROTECTION

GENERAL ADVICE The use and choice of Personal Protection equipment is related to the hazard of the product, the workplace, and the way the product is handled. In general, we recommend as a minimum safety precaution that safety glasses with side-shields and workclothes protecting arms, legs and body be used. In addition, any person visiting an area where this product is handled or processed should at least wear safety glasses with side-shields.

SPECIAL ADVICE Based on and limited to Shanghai Jinsen Hydrocarbon Resins Co., Ltd.’s experience of this product as such, the following special advice is believed to provide satisfactory protection for the industrial user or handler. RESPIRATORY PROTECTION Where concentrations in air may exceed the limits given in this section, it is recommended to use a nuisance dust mask to protect from overexposure by inhalation.

HAND PROTECTION When handling this product, it is recommended to wear chemical resistant gloves, using inner gloves for thermal protection of required. The choice of suitable protective gloves depends on work conditions and what chemicals are handled. Please contact Jinsen for advice on what type of glove material may be suitable. Gloves should be replaced immediately if sign of degradation is observed.

EYE PROTECTION When handling this product hot, it is recommended to wear safety glasses and preferably a face shield to protect from splashes of hot material.

SKIN /BODY PROTECTION When handling this product hot, it is recommended to protect arms and body from splashes of hot material.

11 TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION

ACUTE: INHALATION:  Negligible hazard at ambient temperature (-18 to 38 Deg C).  Dust may be irritating to eyes and respiratory tract.  Vapors and /or aerosols which may be formed at elevated temperatures may be irritating to eyes and respiratory tract. SKIN CONTACT:  Low order of toxicity.  Frequent or prolonged contact may cause mild skin discomfort.  Exposure to hot material may cause thermal burns and adhesion of the solidified product to the skin. EYE CONTACT:

 Will cause eye discomfort, but will not injure eye tissue. INGESTION:  Minimal toxicity.

ENVIRONMENTAL MOBILITY This substance is a polymer, is insoluble in water, and floats.

13 DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS

The following advice only applies to the product as supplied. Combination with other materials may well indicate another route of disposal. If in doubt, contact Jinsen or local Authorities. Empty drums should be taken for recycling, recovery or disposal through a suitably qualified or licensed contractor. Care should in any case be taken to ensure compliance with national and local regulations.

This product is suitable for disposal in an approved landfill or by controlled incineration.
