Employment History-Summary

I have been employed as a teacher in the Primary, Senior Secondary, TAFE and University sectors in the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales.

I have taught vision impaired, deaf blind, migrant, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and mainstream students in the above settings, in the following subject areas. Primary. Various schools in the ACT teaching literacy, numeracy and English as a second language, as a tutor and in a class situation.

Senior Secondary. Copeland College in the ACT, teaching psychology.

TAFE. Tranby College, Glebe, Eora College, Chippendale and Bankstown, Petersham, Randwick, mount Druitt and Myrtle Cottage at Ingleburn. Teaching, modules relating to Access to Further Studies, Aboriginal Education Assistant, Diploma of Aboriginal Studies. Literacy. University. Macquarie (2008) Macquarie University Accessibility Services (MQAS) Accessibility Adviser-involved in the production and completion of projects relating to Braille, audio transcription and website accessibility for specific students and online service for mainstream students.

Werrington Campus of the University of Western Sydney teaching modules relating to New Start.

People with Disabilities Australia on the National Abuse and Neglect Hotline.

Qualifications.

Diploma of Teaching from Charles Sturt University

Bachelor of Arts from Macquarie university

Graduate Diploma in Sociology from Australian National University

Community involvement.

Association of Blind Citizens of NSW on the Management ( Hon Secretary), Technology, Communications, Fundraising, Strategic Plan Monitoring and Library Committees. Deaf Blind Association of NSW, Hon Secretary.
