NOTICE OF MEETING (•) OF THE

COMMISSIONERS COURT OF JACK COUNTY, TEXAS

• Assistive Listening Devices Available on Request for Use During Court Session

Notice is hereby given that a Meeting of the above named Commissioners Court will be held on Monday, the 9th day of July, 2007, at 10:00 o'clock a.m., in the County Courthouse, Jacksboro, Texas, at which time the following subjects* will be discussed and appropriate action taken, to-wit:

These subjects may or may not be discussed in the order shown. All items listed below as part of the called "Consent Agenda Items" require no deliberation by the Court. Each Court member has the prerogative of removing an item from this agenda so that it may be considered separately.

1. PUBLIC FORUM;

2. CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS:

(a) Approval of Minutes of Meeting of June 25, 2007;

(b) Continued approval of application for Unclaimed Electric Co-op Capital Credits received from State Comptroller and disbursement to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates of Wise & Jack Counties for children);

(c) Approve continuation of Memorandum of Understanding regarding an analog phone line in the Courthouse for use by the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services for delivery of services in the Assembly Room;

(d) Renewal of Performance Bond regarding Reserve Deputy Sheriff J.D. Hailey;

3. TIMED ITEMS - 10:00 a.m.:

(a) Termination of Agreement with Texoma Area Paratransit Systms (Taps) of Sherman, Texas for delivery of public transportation services in Jack County;

(b) Adoption of Resolution authorizing Jack County joining the Rural Transit District of Palo Pinto County and Parker County, known as “Public Transit Services;”

(c) Adoption of Resolution authorizing execution of Interlocal Agreement with Public Transit Services to provide public transit services in Jack County;

4. Payment of Accounts and Claims;

5. Review of road crossing application to allow applicant to run the line down the county road if written authorization given by fee surface owners of land adjoining or under the road subject to county requirements as to depth, offset, etc.;

6. Consider Request of Penalty and Interest Under § 33.011, Tax Code received by Mr. Dwayne Shields on certain 2006 Property Taxes (Taxes: $858.91; Penalty: $85.89; Interest: $42.96);

7. Termination of Agreement with Texoma Area Paratransit Systms (Taps) of Sherman, Texas for delivery of public transportation services in Jack County;

8. Adoption of Resolution authorizing Jack County joining the Rural Transit District of Palo Pinto County and Parker County, known as “Public Transit Services;” 9. Adoption of Resolution authorizing execution of Interlocal Agreement with Public Transit Services to provide public transit services in Jack County;

10. Discussion of completion of First Responders Survey on Emergency Medications and worksheets on the ORCA grant application through Nortex;

11. Discussion of Legislative Funding of Courthouse Restoration Program by the 80th Legislature and need for cost re- estimation;

12. Review of situation involving unpermitted blockage of stream channel on land adjoining John Cope in Precinct 2 creating flood danger to county road (Elenburg Road) and to downstream land owners under provisions of statute and the County’s Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance passed on March 9, 1998;

13. View of site on Elenburg Road on Item x above; no action/no deliberation;

14. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS; AND,

15. ADJOURNMENT.
