Kep Discovery Tour Get a glimpse into Kep’s earlier glory by visiting several abandoned colonial villas, including the former residence of King Father Norodom Sihanouk. Mixing the old with the new, you will also travel along the coastal road, visit the famous crab shacks, a hillside temple, and the iconic siren of the sea statue overlooking Kep Beach. This introductory tour is perfect for the first time visitor to Kep or for repeat visitors interested in learning a bit more about the history of the area.

Time: 2 hours

Countryside Tour The countryside surrounding the city of Kep is full of beautiful scenery, traditional Khmer villages, and the seasonal rice paddies which form the heart of rural Cambodia. Traveling along the coastal roads via tuk-tuk or motorbike, your Knai Bang Chatt guide will lead you to the village of ChamcarBei, home to the Hand in Hand Cambodia project that has been supported by Knai Bang Chatt since 2006. Here you can visit with students at the community school and visit the Women’s Handicraft and Development Association where villagers make traditional loom-woven kramas, coconut jewelry, and Funky Junk products made from recycled plastic. We will also visit a local pepper farm, where you can buy the best black, white or red pepper from the region, visit the salt fields, and make a stop at the vibrant and colorful KeoKrosang Pagoda.

Time: 4 hours

A Day on an Island A short tuk-tuk ride, followed by a 25-30 minute journey by private fisherman’s boat, and guests are transported to the rustic shores and sandy beaches of KohTonsay (Rabbit Island) - just 4.5km off the south coast of Cambodia. A truly relaxing and seemingly remote destination, the island is blissfully undeveloped and is the perfect place to enjoy snorkeling in the shallow waters, read a book in the shade, or simply relax and soak up the sun while your Knai Bang Chatt guide whips up a personal BBQ feast of fresh seafood served on the beach. This exclusive day trip is the perfect beach-seekers addition on your next visit to Kep.

Time: 5-6 hours

Local Fishing Experience

Page 11 of 14 This excursion begins with a picturesque drive towards Kampot and a Cham Fishing Village where guests board a local fishing boat for the remainder of the journey. After navigating through small fishing villages with bountiful mangroves on either side, you reach the open waters of the Gulf of Thailand with a view of Bokor Mountain in the distance. Here you will learn several traditional fishing techniques, relax and enjoy a swim in shallow waters, or practice your own fishing techniques before gathering up the nets and heading back to the Sailing Club by boat. If you’re lucky, you may find that you have a selection of fish, shrimp, and crab to bring back with you. Large or small, our chef will be delighted to prepare your catch for you at the Sailing Club.

Time: 4 hours

Kep National Park Covering 50 square kilometers in the center of Kep Province.Kep National Park is classified as low land tropical forest and consists of three main Phnoms (Khmer for mountains)— Krasaing, KepToch, and Kep Thom. Offering beautiful views of the nearby sea and surrounding countryside, the park is a great place to go for a hike and enjoy this natural and currently undeveloped oasis.

An 8km route circles the park and is a moderate hike along the main path. Those looking for a more challenging workout can take the transverse path or check out the various trails to sites such as Nun’s Pass, Stone Horse, and Little Buddha. For one of the best sunset viewpoints in town, make the 182 meter climb to Sunset Rock and watch the setting sun as it lights up the sky before disappearing beneath the horizon. Just don’t forget to take your camera and a flashlight (torch) for the way back.

Time: 3 hours

Cave &Secret Lake Tour The landscape between Kep and Kampot is dotted with jungled limestone mountains, many of which contain hidden caves and simple Buddhist Shrines. On this tour you will first visit the caves of Phnom Chhnork known for their Pre-Angkorian carvings and a well-preserved 7th century shrine to Shiva. As you explore the caves, keep an eye out for the various animal carvings and protruding stalagmites and stalactites. About 300 meters from the main cave is an entrance into a deeper section, requiring some climbing and sturdy shoes.

The next stop on the tour is the so-called ‘Secret Lake’, which was established through hard labor under the Khmer Rouge regime. Originally created as an irrigation dam, the lake is situated in between the mountains and the rice paddies and provides the perfect location for a picnic or a swim.

Note: This excursion can be booked via tuk-tuk but due to the condition of the roads, it is recommended to experience this tour via motorbike.

Time: 4 hours
