Masters’ Master Project: Designed and built an open source architectural-oriented volume modeler, Projects QFModeler, using SWING, JAI, Java 2D and Java 3D. It promotes a clearly organized GUI and efficient creation and modification of volumes. Highly rated by all committee members. o In-memory XML database research: Design and implemented an XML based in-memory database. Migrated part of a heavily overloaded SQL server to web servers’ in-memory preparesed XML document object database. Drastically improved the site’s performances. o GUI Project: Designed and built a scheduler that has daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly views on the data set. The language used is Java. Supports the updating from any view. o Graphics Project: Designed and built a driving test game in VRML that asks the player to pass a written and road test.
