The Professional Development & Review Plan for administrative employees is designed to be an interactive and growth process for both the employee and his/her immediate supervisor.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1. Employee evaluates work performance in relation to the current job requirements and completes the attached form.

Step 2. The completed form should be forwarded to the supervisor by time supervisor designates.

Step 3. Supervisor reviews self-appraisal and writes comments in section ASupervisor Comments.@

Step 4. Employee and supervisor meet to discuss the appraisal and to review expectations for the upcoming year.

Step 5. Signed copy is returned to the Human Resources Department by June 15.

DEFINITIONS: Please use the following definitions as a basis for the evaluation process.

EXCEPTIONAL. This rating denotes the highest level of achievement in all areas that enhance the department's or the College's overall performance.

OUTSTANDING. Consistently and clearly exceeds job requirements and established goals.

ACHIEVES EXPECTATIONS. Fully meets job requirements and expectations which were established as a basis for the evaluation. By definition, this is the level of performance that is expected of the employee.

NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. Additional training or direction needed to meet standard/and or requires supervision.

UNSATISFACTORY. Performance in this area does not meet minimum standards, expectations and job requirements. Improvement plan needs to be identified and monitored.
