Scholastic Management System (SAM) Teacher Instructions SRI Growth Report and Intervention Grouping Report

1. Log into SAM 2. Click on the blue Reports tab at the top 3. In the Smart Bar (left column) click Classes a. You can now print a Growth Report for all of your classes b. If you have multiple classes and you want a Growth Report for a single class then under Classes click on the class name

4. In the Reports window scroll down to the Scholastic Reading Inventory report section 5. Click the Radio button in front of Growth Report 6. In the Time Period window (upper right) scroll down until you see Custom 7. Click the radio button in front of Custom 8. A Select a Custom Time Period window will open 9. Enter the From and To Dates 10. Click the Run Report button 11. The Growth Report will show a list of students with the following information: a. Student’s first Lexile score and date of test for the time period selected b. Student’s most recent Lexile score and date of test for the time period selected c. The growth in the individual student’s Lexile score 12. To print the Growth Report click on Print Preview (PDF) link in the upper right corner 13. To save a copy of the Growth Report click on Save a Copy (PDF) link in the upper right hand corner

Intervention Grouping Report 1. To go back to the list of reports click on the Show All Reports link on the Reports tab at the top 2. You will want to run the Intervention Grouping Report with ONE class selected 3. On the Smart Bar (left column) click on the Class you would like the report for 4. In the Reports window scroll down to the Scholastic Reading Inventory report section 5. Click the Radio button in front of Intervention Grouping Report 6. In the Time Period window (upper right) scroll down until you see Custom 7. Click the Radio button in front of Custom 8. A Select a Custom Time Period window will open 9. Enter the From and To Dates 10. Click the Run Report button 11. The Intervention Grouping Report will show a list of students with the following information: a. Student’s most recent Lexile score for the time period selected b. Date of test c. Normative Data i. Percentile Rank ii. NCE iii. Stanine
