BOS Family,

With the end of the second six weeks, we are happy to report a 96% student attendance rate in the last week of the 6 weeks! Way to go BOS! With the finalization of 6 weeks grades this week, we will report the passing rates and perfect attendance numbers ASAP.

Great things continue to happen both in and out of the classroom! Here are a few accolades from this past week:  Pioneer Football clenched the bi-district championship on Saturday, November 14th and will play this Friday at 7:30 PM against Burleson Centennial at Dragon Stadium in Southlake. Please come support our Pioneers in our quest for Area Championship and on to STATE!!!!!  Gabe Kurtzhals, the BHS Quarterback has been nominated as the player of the week. Please vote at wfaa.com by 1:00 on Thursday! He has also been nominated for the Ozarka FRESH Performance of Week. Vote for him at www.texasfootball.com/Ozarka Let’s represent, BOSNATION!  Our UIL Computer Science team continues to compete at high levels in competitions in the surrounding area.  BHS’ Salvation Army Angel Tree is up and located in the front office. Parents and community members are invited to participate and adopt a “Precious Angel” (Teen Angel) from our tree. All gifts must be returned by Dec 8th in the front office.  BHS’ Student Council Officers presented the Opening Ceremony at the November 16th School Board Meeting. Each officer introduced herself and shared why BHS is Intentionally Remarkable!  BHS Administrators and panel of teachers presented to 9 surrounding districts at the ESC XI Campus Carousel. Visiting administrators visited 4 classrooms and utilized rubrics to calibrate Rigor and Relevance in the classrooms! We received tremendous positive feedback and more importantly we continue to see gains in student success.  We have both Boys and Girls Basketball playing at home tonight!
