Position Title: Outdoor Group Leader, Day Camp Location: Mundy Park – Coquitlam, BC Terms: Temporary Full Time: 40 hours/week, Term: June 18, 2018 – August 31, 2018 (Must be available to work full contract; no exceptions) Shift: Monday to Friday, shifts vary between 7:45am to 5:15pm Salary: $11.35 - $12.35 per hour Reports To: Summer Day Camp Director

Nature & Scope: If you want to work with kids we’re looking for you! YMCA Group Leaders enjoy facilitating activities for children ages 5 – 12 in a fun, fast paced environment.

What we are looking for:  Wants to work with kids, enough said.  Positive Attitude, we can make any situation better!  Passion, we are passionate about delivering the best service to our campers and families.  Motivated, teams work better than individuals.  Flexible because if you don't bend, you'll break!  Energetic, you’ll need to keep up with the kids.  Calm, cool and collected. Major Responsibilities:  Facilitate activities and build relationships with campers  Engage with campers and have fun while role modelling positive behaviors  Ensure all children are supervised and safe at all time  Read, understand and follow all YMCA policies and procedures  Behave in a professional manner Requirements:  Experience working with children ages 5 – 12 years  Current Emergency First Aid and CPR-C & AED certificate required  Between 15 and 30 years of age  Available to work full-time hours for entire contract (no exceptions will be made)  Must be a current full time secondary or post-secondary student, with the intent on going back to school in the fall
