1. Why is Brian visiting his father in Canada? How does Brian feel about his mother? He went to visit his dad because his mom and dad are divorced and he goes to his dads in the summer and during school he stays with his mom. He likes her but some times he is embarrassed of her like when she bought him the hatchet to put on his belt.

2. What is Brian's plan for landing the plane? What conclusions can you draw about Brian from the actions he takes before the crash? He is planning on landing on the lake because he can’t land in the trees because they will smash the plane up. I think he will be ok because before hand the pilot thought him a little about driving a plan.

3. What lesson does Brian recall from Mr. Perpich, his English teacher? How does the lesson help Brian as he sits beside the lake? To be motivated. Yes and it helps by making him get up and build a shelter and find food and water.

4. Sometimes Brian's thoughts go back to an earlier time, when he was with his mother. What effect do these "break" have on the story? It makes it more interesting and it has more detail.

5. Are Brian's reactions to the pilot's death and the crash realistic? Does Brian seem like a real thirteen-year-old? Explain your answer. I don’t know because I’ve never expensed some think like, but other wise yes. No because any other 13 year old pry would not know how to drive a plane

6. Where does Brian find shelter? Why does he consider the find lucky? He finds it in the wild and in a cave. He thinks finding the cave is luck.

7. What does Brian see among the raspberry bushes? What does he learn from the experience? A bear, and that the bear didn’t want to hurt him.

8. What wild visitor helps Brian figure out how to build a fire? What does the fire mean to Brain? A porcupine, and the fire means that there is still hope to Brian

9. What do you learn about Brian from his dreams and memories that you have not learned for other parts of the story? That his mom was cheating and he did not like that his mom and dad were getting divorced

10. What do you think Brian means when he tells himself that self-pity doesn't work? Like when he was crying since he thought no one would find him

11. What tools does Brian make and for what does he use them? How does this Accomplishment makes Brian feel about himself and his situation? He made a bow so he could catch so fish to eat and he was really proud of him self for catching them and for remembering about the waters reflection.

12. In what two ways does Brian measure time? Which way has the most meaning for him and why? He marks his shelter rock and by watching the sun. The most important is pry marking on this shelter because he did it by hand.

13. What causes Brian to have to rebuild his shelter twice? Why does Brian spend so much time on rebuilding? Tornados because he wants it to be nice so he can sleep in it and stuff like that also so he could stay warm.

14. The author spends more than two chapters describing Brian's trip out to the plane and back. What effect does this description have on you? The author wants us to like it and wants as to get interested. Also he may wants to tell us how we could survival the crash to. 15. Why might Brian have mixed feelings about using some of the items in the survival pack? Maybe because it got wet and may have got ruined also because he may not know how to us them like the gun he found.
