Schmersal and Coal Control found sales partnership
Wuppertal, Germany, 08 July 2015. The Schmersal Group, based in Wuppertal / Germany and Coal Control Gesellschaft für Automation mbH, based in Hilden / Germany are founding a global sales partnership for safety technology in loose goods conveying.
The Schmersal heavy industry division produces switchgears which are used throughout the process chain from the exploration and conveying to the processing of raw materials. Schmersal focuses on the provision of safety solutions to protect employees and processes. By contrast, the safety systems from Coal Control protect the customers' valuable, expensive conveyor systems from damage. The belt monitoring systems produced by the Hilden-based company help reduce investment and maintenance costs and extend the service life of conveyor belts.
The product ranges of the two companies complement each other well and allow them to offer customers complete solutions from a single source. In future, the combined package offered by the two companies will include comprehensive consultancy services, regular risk assessments and advising insurance companies on determining premiums.
Schmersal and Coal Control's shared international customers include the raw materials industry, such as opencast mining, heavy machinery and plant engineering. While Coal Control has a strong market position in India and South America, Schmersal's high-performance sales network spans the whole globe.

"By combining our range of services and exchanging knowledge, we can provide for a smooth, on-schedule conveying of our customers' valuable goods," reports Andreas Herrmann, Sales Manager at Coal Control.
The cooperation between Schmersal and Coal Control is based exclusively on an agreement for shared product sales, both companies will remain 100 percent independent.
