Position Role: As PO BG, to act as the link between the Brigade and the Trust in support of G200. Specifically, to coordinate the provision of Brigade support to all G200 events. Responsibilities: To support Col BG on the strategic planning, budgeting and other areas of organisational development in support of G200.
To provide liaison between the serving Brigade, the Wider Army, the Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT) and UK population in support of G200 activities.
Responsible for all matters relating to:
a. The Brigade of Gurkhas carrying out Public Duties in Jun 15.
b. The presentation of the ‘Queen’s Truncheon’ to HM the Queen and parade through London to the Gurkha Statue.
c. The coordination of other serving brigade engagements throughout the year
To be the Brigade’s Project Officer for the G200 Main Event, to be held at the Royal Hospital Chelsea (RHC).
Responsible for all media activities and enquiries.
To develop and support the joint Framework of Activities in support of G200.
To provide the secretariat function for the Brigade’s G200 Committee.
To ensure an appropriate record of all G200 activities for placement in the Museum archives.
