Dear MacDonald Hospital Newborn Nursery Provider,

Starting December 1, 2010, the MacDonald Newborn Nursery will have a new look. We will be transitioning our practice to a Safe Sleep model. All newborns will be wearing a Halo© sleep sack in a “bare, naked crib”.

We are asking for your support with this initiative. Evidence shows that parents and caregivers use the same sleep routine for their babies at home that they see modeled in the hospital. A Safe Sleep course is available in LMS (1.0 nursing contact hours) for team training if desired.
