Welcoming Remarks – Jim Cole Jim Cole opened with introductions at 2:50 p.m.

Approval of Meeting Minutes from Previous Meeting – Jim Cole Motion by Bill Carrow, second by Mark Grubb to approve the January minutes as submitted. The motion passed unanimously.

Scheduled Business Meeting Broadband Working Group Update – Mark Grubb Mark provided an overview of the recent MACINAC Broadband Workshop held in Rehoboth in January. Governor Markell gave the keynote address, and attendance was great from our area and the region. Jim mentioned the panel and individual presentations were well attended. Mark also discussed the upcoming SLIGP workshop in Atlanta.

SLIGP Grant Update Tim Dobrowolski advised the PPR had been filed and the HSR letter had been filed with the Department of Commerce.

New Business Community Reports Colonel Wingate reported on the National Guard’s possible use of the national public safety broadband network.

Tom Kadunce discussed his recent work on APCO’s site hardening committee where they are setting what will become the public safety standard for tower and transmitter sites for the national public safety broadband network. Mark mentioned the outreach opportunities being pursued to present at the annual police chiefs conference and state fire conference.
