Mynydd y Gwair Update – September 2012 New Wind Farm Planning Application Submitted for Mynydd y Gwair

Dear Sir / Madam

We are writing to you to ask for your support once again in objecting to the above proposal. SOCME has worked tirelessly since 2003 to safe guard Mynydd y Gwair for future generations and stop RWE npower renewables from destroying one of the last wildernesses in West Glamorgan.

We had won earlier this year, after their last application was refused in the Court of Appeal. It begs the question when everyone says NO, when does NO mean NO! It makes a mockery out of the planning system when they can submit a new application again and again….

Please find attached a proforma letter together with a stamp address envelope for yourself. We would appreciate it very much if you could fill in your details at the top and sign it at the bottom and return it as soon as possible to Swansea. Please feel free to copy the letter and pass it to as many people as you wish for them to sign and send off. You can also download copies from our website – www.socme.org. The deadline for this is the 5th of October 2012.

Together we can beat this application again and save our beautiful mountain.

Many thanks once again for your continued support.

Yours Sincerely, D Glyn Morgan , On behalf of SOCME

Note. Save Our Common Mountain Environment known as “SOCME” was set up in 2003 to do exactly as the name applies. It is a community group made up of people who live and work around Mynydd Y Gwair, it has gathered tremendous support in the last nine years both locally nationally and internationally, as it tries to give the argument to save these beautiful surroundings and preserve for posterity. There is also a website www.socme.org
