A guide to applying for a job with Tai Tarian
Thank you for your interest in applying for a post with Tai Tarian. In order to maximise your application, please read all information carefully before applying.
General Information Applicants are shortlisted on the basis of the information put on the application form and/or CV. Before submitting an application, look at the job profile and ensure you meet all the requirements listed.
Please do not send your Curriculum Vitae (CV) unless the advert specifically asks for a CV. If it does not, please fill in section B of the application form.
You must be able to provide your national insurance number or any other information requested, to confirm your identity.
Section A (all applications):
Personal Details Ensure that all the personal information you provide is accurate and do not forget to provide contact details indicating how you wish to be contacted throughout the recruitment process.
Additional Information (a) Criminal Convictions You must declare any unspent or pending criminal convictions. Declaring that you have a conviction does not mean that you will not be appointed.
Employment Restriction/Regulations
Schedule 1 Under Schedule 1 of the Housing Act 1996, if you are related to any current or former member of staff, board member or contractor/consultant of Tai Tarian you must declare this on your application form. State their name, position if known and how you are related.

A close relative is classed as a relative by blood or marriage, including spouse, partner, former partner, parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, brother, sister, step relatives, half relatives and in laws.

Referees Try to select referees who are able to give support to your application, preferably your current or previous employers. Your referees should not be relatives.
References will be sought for successful candidates only and only after you have resigned from your current role.

Section B (if required):
Employment History Provide brief details of your work experience, indicating all gaps in your employment history to show your suitability for the job you are applying for. Examine the job profile and compare the description of the role with those of the jobs in which you have previously been employed.
Qualifications Provide details of all your relevant qualifications. Original certificates will be checked prior to commencement and any offer of employment may be withdrawn if original certificates cannot be sighted.
Present or Most Recent Employment Describe your current or most recent job, giving an outline of your duties and responsibilities. This will identify the duties and responsibilities which you have undertaken.
If you are no longer in this employment, please state the reason for leaving.
Your Experience and Achievements When completing this section, consider the criteria set out in the job pack or job profile and apply the knowledge, skills, education, training, achievements and experience you have gained both within and outside formal employment.
It is important that you show how you meet the criteria, not just state that you do! Please also limit the information to the space provided.
