Job Title QTL Department Shipping Reports to Supervisor FLSA Status Full-Time/Non-Exempt
Job Summary Assist with determining shipping methods for LTL and small parcel utilizing the 3PL system as well as UPS and FedEx. Assist with contacting the carrier representative to make arrangements if necessary and provide any special customer instructions. Assist with coordinating the handling and processing of all late deliveries and damages. Assist with coordination of unit shipments. Assist with all documentation processing. Assist at the front counter.
Education and Experience Requirements: An individual in this job must have attained a minimum of AA to meet entry-level requirements. Education beyond the minimum is an added advantage for career development activities.
The individual will have a minimum of 3-5 years industry experience or equivalent experience in a similar industry.

Successful job incumbents will consistently demonstrate competency when engaged in the following critical tasks, tools, skills, and abilities:
Critical Tasks 1. Assist in advising customer of actual delivery of their units, parts 2. Compare contents with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments 3. Compute amounts such as space available, and shipping, storage, and demurrage charges, using calculator or price list 4. Confer with department representatives to establish customer orders that need to be shipped on that day and inform them of any special customer requests. 5. Consolidate shipping orders geographically to maximize resources 6. Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and provide any special customer instructions 7. Coordinate arrival of carrier with actual availability of units, parts 8. Coordinate handling and processing of all late deliveries, crane charges and damages 9. Coordinate shipping damages to units with responsible departments to insure carrier is back charged for damages 10. Determine shipping method for units, parts and curbs utilizing the most efficient carriers 11. Identify units, parts and curbs to insure proper freight is loaded on trailers 12. Maximize trailer space to reduce total number of truck loads, which in turn reduces shipping costs 13. Prepare documents such as bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping orders to route materials, parts 14. Record shipment data such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting and accounting 15. Resolve shipping conflicts between carrier, customers, and reps Important Tasks 1. Coordinate common carriers shipments 2. Issue routing instructions to lead person supervisor for proper loading of trailers. 3. Lift up to 25 pounds 4. Use knowledge of the transportation industry in the most efficient manner to maximize company resources 5. Work in conditions below 32 degrees or above 90 degrees on occasion

Assist at the front counter. Essential Responsibilities:
Initial contact for manufacturing assembly issues. Responsible for the daily activities required to support manufacturing. Liaison between production and engineering. Travel, when necessary, to assist personnel performing field repairs.
Minimum Requirements:
Must possess an Associate degree or certificate in HVAC. Experience in the HVAC industry. Testing or repairing HVAC equipment, or other related field.
A similar degree in applied sciences.
Essential Mental Functions: . Exhibit good decision making, analytical problem solving, statistical analysis and excellent organizational abilities. . Communicate effectively, in written and spoken form, and possess excellent interpersonal relationship skills. . Work under the direction of a senior member of engineering. . Assist with lab work and testing of equipment, as needed. . Apply laws, rules, regulations, statistical problem solving skills, departmental policies and procedures regarding assembly and common practice procedures. . Communicate with management and shop personnel to develop production and design standards. . Confer with line engineers and engineering management to solve production issues. . Handle daily line calls and production issues. . Investigate fit, form and function issues of component parts and pass recommendations to senior engineers. . Setup, perform and document testing of various components to document the performance, physical characteristics, endurance, etc. of the items.
Essential Physical Functions: Eliminate obsolete or unused parts from bills of material. Create or revise component part specification sheets. Test HVAC equipment for AHRI evaluation. Lift up to 50 pounds.
