Another Bible Dedication this year in PNG. The Word of God finally came for the Arapesh people Saturday, April 24th.

Approximately 13,500 speak this language where BTA (Bible translation Association of Papua New Guinea) and SIL (Summer Institute of Linguistics) have been working together to see this work completed. The Arapesh people live in the East Sepik Province of Papua New Guinea on the Northern Coast. BTA began the translation work in 1988 and SIL joined the project in 1998.

The day was commemorated with singing, dances, speeches, visitors and food. It was a beautiful sunny day – no rain here. The umbrellas were used to provide shade from the sun.

We praise God that about 13,500 people now have the scriptures in the language that speaks to their heart.

How good it is to finally have God's Word in their language!
