About Dalian Operations

Dalian Operations is an operational service center responsible for providing supports to Fidelity's clients in Asia Pacific, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore and Japan. The teams provide account administration services (including account opening, account maintenance, dealing, settlements, cash match, payment handling etc.) to clients of different business channels in the region, including banks, brokerage firms, IFAs, insurance companies, high net-worth direct, retail direct, institutional. The product range supported includes SICAVS, B shares, monthly dividend funds, 3rd party funds. As some of the processes for the Asian clients are supported out of the UK head office, it is also the responsibility of the teams to communicate with the UK Operations teams to achieve operational excellence. In addition, the teams work very closely with the various Oversight teams (Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, Corporate Security/AML, and Risk) in the region to implement Oversight requirements.

Purpose of your role

The major purpose of this role is to lead the team to provide back office support to all business channels on banking related services.

Your key accountabilities

 Manage and lead Banking Team in Dalian to provide professional support and services to all businesses  The key processes managed are: redemption deal settlements, payment run report handling, payment arrangement, fraud policy implementation and controls, cash-match, bank reconciliations, email inquiries, etc  Manage and resolve issues/problems timely and effectively with proper escalation  Participate and implement projects and business initiatives which impact the team  Drive and manage process improvements and client servicing standard upgrade  Maintain an up-to-date record of procedures and policies with reduction in manual intervention  Implement new procedures to comply with AML and other Oversight monitoring requirements  Develop and deliver effective management reporting and data statistics  Arrange trainings to both new staff and existing team members  Ongoing liaison with Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and UK counterparts to promote team work and provide good service to clients  Normal working hours from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, could be adjusted based on business volume  May need to work extra hours based on operational requirements  May need to work on public holidays

 Minimum 5 years of working experience in BPO or customer service areas. Experience in banking or investment business is preferred  Minimum 1 year of experience in supervisory level with good people management skills  BS or higher degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Business or related discipline  Strong English skills both in speaking and writing  Good time management and problem solving skills  Detail oriented  Good communication skills  Proactive and outspoken  Good presentation and interpersonal skills  Independent, good team player  Sensitive to data and numbers  Ability to work well under pressure
