Working as an Engine Fitter & Quality Controller in WARTSILA SINGAPORE PTE LTD, since 13th October 2008. Also I worked as an Engine Mechanic & Safety Assistance in JPL Services pte ltd.(Jurong Shipyard).

Job Responsibilities as Engine mechanic

I have gathered experience about repair, overhaul and troubleshoot of various kinds of machineries. Such as: 1. Repair, overhaul and troubleshoots of different kinds of engine’ s (4-stroke, 2-stroke) pump drive system air cleaner, exhaust system, electrical system, main propulsion unit(Diesel engine) ,various machineries such as cooler, heater , purifier and air compressor etc. Check valves clearance, engine timing, crankshaft alignment, camshaft, repair piston assembly, bore combustion chamber, valves lapping and grinding repair of high speed rotating equipments, gear boxes, centrifugal pumps and bearings etc.

2. To repair various type of pump such as centrifugal, reciprocating gear, stripping pump ( Fuel pump,Lub oil pump,Fresh water pump,Seawater pump,Cooling pump,Fire pump,General Service pump,Glove valve,Gate valve,Ball valve,Safety valve,Check valve Relief valves etc). 3.To repair and testing of pneumatic and hydraulic control deck machineries such as winch, windlass, crane, capstan, davits and valves such as butterfly valve, gate valve, glove valve, ball valve, three-way valve etc.

4. Use various types of mechanical hand tools, machine and special tools.

5. Gas cutting,Welding,Grinding and Drilling as per drawing or instruction..

Job responsibilities as Safety Assistant

I have worked as a Safety Assistance in JPL Services pte ltd.(Jurong Shipyard). 1. To Assist Safety Engineer in all Safety related issues 2. To assist the competent person in checking Electrical tools & Lifting Equipments. 3.To check all the hot work tools one in 14 days (Gas cutting torch, Short piece, Gas hose). 4.To inspect the condition of the workshop fire extinguisher. 5.Making of Safety posters, Signage and to post the safety alerts in the notice boards. 6.To conduct safety orientation course (SOC) for new Bangladeshi employees. 7.Safety briefing about risk assessment to all employees also translate by Bengali language to Bangladeshi employees. 8.I was Member of JPL Work Place Safety & Health Committee

Job Responsibilities:

01. To overhaul, repair & installation of Marine propulsion Engine and Generator Engine( Cylinder head removal, cleaning, pressure test, valve seat, guide , Injector sleeve, piston removal, change piston ring, removal of main bearing, big end bearing, cam shaft, crank shaft, connecting road dismantle, fault finding and troubleshooting etc). 02. Study drawings and specification to determine suitable materials and methods sequences of operation, using knowledge of properties, machining techniques and workshop mathematics.

03. Perform and select appropriate materials and methods of operation for fabrication . Erect fans, blowers, compressors and pumps (Centrifugal and vacuum, fuel pump lube oil pump, fresh water pump, sea water pump, cooling pump, fire pump, general service pump etc.) 04. Erect pneumatic, hydraulic equipments and lubricating facilities make oil groove. 05. Maintenance and servicing machinery such as lathe, milling, grinding. . 06. Use highly precision measuring instruments such as venire callipers , micro meter, bore gauge, depth gauge and master level fir levelling, machines and reassembles machinery parts as per drawings and blueprints. 07. Preparing maintenance records history. 08. Gas cutting, arc welding and brazing for required size. 09. Drilling, tapping, threading and reaming for fabrication. 10. Fabricate pipes as per ISO metric drawing and performing installation and assembly pipe line after carried out hydro test by hydro testing pump to prove no leakage. 11. Fit and assemble metal parts, tools or sub-assemble, including welding or brazing parts 12. Cut, thread, bend and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipe and line. 13. Assemble all types of valves( Glove valve, Gate valve, Ball valve, Check valve etc). 14. Install valves, coupling and high-pressure piping. 15. Use pressure gauge during hydro testing and air tasting on pipelines. 16. Troubleshooting, fault finding and repair of Forklift. 17. Troubleshooting, fault finding and repair of Cherry Picker.
