2011 EDUCATIONAL TOUR TO FRANCE

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Your child has expressed interest in participating in an educational tour to France that is being planned for Spring 2011. The trip will take place from March 12 to March 24. To date we are in the planning stages and need to know if there is enough student interest and parental support to go ahead with such a major project.

Participating in this program will involve a major commitment on part of both parents and students. We therefore ask you to think about such a commitment very carefully as you will be required to pay a non refundable deposit of $400.00 with your application. I understand that these payments are NON refundable unless covered by cancellation insurance or unless an acceptable replacement can be found for your son/daughter. The replacement MUST be acceptable to the sponsors of Charles Best Secondary. This deposit will be refunded if the trip does not go ahead or if your child is not chosen as a result of too many applications. This trip will be led by myself, and another teacher . At the present time we will be taking 35 Grade 12/11 students from Dr Charles Best Secondary. The total cost of this trip will be approximately 4300.00 $.

We are very anxious to provide such an educational opportunity to all those interested. A parent meeting is planned for the evening of Thursday February 18th at 7pm in room 108 .Please complete the bottom section of this form and return it to Mr Jiwa as soon as possible.You may also submit a cheque at this time . This cheque will not be cashed until the parent meeting but gurantees your child a spot in this tour
