THE SUBSCRIPTION (2016–2017)

 For each girl chorister who auditions successfully, a subscription of £75 per University Term will be payable at the beginning of each term. A one-off joining fee of £10 is added in the first term of membership.  Payment may be made by bank transfer to the following account: Frideswide Voices 30-96-26 17975868.  Alternatively, cheques payable to ‘Frideswide Voices’ may be brought to the first rehearsal.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT AS A FRIDESWIDE VOICES CHORISTER

‘The Frideswide Foundation’ and its subsidiary, ‘Frideswide Voices’, are not-for-profit organisations whose aim is to develop opportunities for girl choristers to sing within the liturgy in Oxford College Chapels.

Following a girl’s successful audition and payment of the subscription, Frideswide Voices will offer such activities as develop chorister and musical skills, for example rehearsal, attendance and singing in liturgical settings, music theory lessons or vocal coaching. The activities will be offered during 10 weekly sessions each term on Mondays from 4.30–6.30pm (4.30–6.15pm for Year 3) and Wednesdays from 4.30-7.00pm, with occasional further commitments at other Oxford College Chapels (dates to be notified well in advance). The activities will be led by the Frideswide Voices Director of Music and others as appointed by the Frideswide Voices Committee.

SUBSCRIPTION 2016–17 Termly subscription fees shall be paid in advance by the parent / guardian.

SCHEDULE 2016–17 Frideswide Voices will rehearse and / or sing services at Worcester and other college chapels each Monday from 4.30–6.30pm for 10 weeks each term and Wednesdays from 4.30-7.00pm. The calendar for each term, including occasional extra events, will be available on the website: www.frideswidevoices.co.uk. These times and dates may be subject to change if circumstances require.

PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY Full attendance at rehearsals and services is required, although discretion is expected if the child has an infectious illness. The parent / guardian agrees that the child will be under the care, direction and control of the Director of Music and possibly of a parent helper or committee member during rehearsals and services and while on the Worcester College or other college premises. The parent / guardian agrees that there will be no refund if the Director of Music should be ill or temporarily unable to direct the choir. A replacement will be provided if possible.

APPLICATIONS All applicants will be required to attend a short and informal audition. Four or five places will be available per school year group from Years 3–9 inclusive.

CANCELLATION OF THE PROGRAMME The Frideswide Voices programme can be cancelled for whatever reason by The Frideswide Foundation, in which case parents / guardians will be refunded for the remaining sessions that have been pre-paid.

EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY Except in the case of fraud, the parent / guardian accepts that the Director of Music or parent helper or Committee Member accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage or expense during Frideswide Voices rehearsal or service sessions suffered by the parent / guardian or child.
