We Do Not Dismiss Students Through the Office. Parents Are Expected to Walk Behind The

3:35 p.m. Dismissal Time

We do not dismiss students through the office. Parents are expected to walk behind the building and pick up their child at the designated door. The purpose of this policy is to insure an organized, safe dismissal for all students.

If you elect to pick your child before 3:35 p.m., it will be treated just like a child who is tardy to school. Repeated incidents of this nature will result in a truancy referral to the local intermediate school district.

Any student not picked up by a parent at their designated door (at 3:35 p.m.) will be brought to the late pick-up room. We will not dismiss any students from the late pick-up room until 3:42 p.m. There will be no exceptions to this rule. Late Pick-Up Option

To help ease the parking lot congestion at 3:35, we offer parents the option of picking their child up between 3:42 and 4:00 p.m. each day. We will make sure your child is supervised until you pick them up. They will either watch a movie in the gym or play on the playground.

Guidelines 1. The purpose of the late pick up is to reduce the number of cars in the parking lot at the normal 3:35 dismissal time. Please do not arrive in our parking lot until 3:40 p.m.

2. Please park in a designated parking spot.

3. Parents should wait for their child at the breakfast door which is located on the south side of the building.

4. We begin dismissing students from late pick up at 3:42 p.m. There will be no exceptions to this rule.

5. All students must be picked up by 4:00 p.m. each day. Failure to do so will result in the loss of being able to use the late pick-up option. 6. In the event a child is not picked up by 4:30 p.m. the school reserves the right to call the Kentwood Police Department.
