The HCC is home to Career Services; Pre-Health Advising; and National and International Awards. To learn more about the Hameetman Career Center, please click on the following link or copy and paste the link in a web browser http://www.oxy.edu/hameetman-career-center/hcc-video-overview PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITIES The purpose of this position is to accelerate the preparation of the college-to-career transition for Occidental College students through the development and delivery of innovative and contemporary career-readiness programs, seminars, curriculum, counseling, and campus partnerships. Reporting to the Associate Vice President and Executive Director (AVP/ED) of the Hameetman Career Center, the Senior Associate Director of Career Education & Campus Partnerships will be responsible for the following:  Leading the development and delivery of new career education programs, seminars, and curriculum to prepare students for the world of work. Manage all aspects of program and curriculum development, learning outcomes and career center staff training.  Establishing and developing campus partnership with faculty, administrators, and student organizations to effectively support and advance the career education and professional development of students.  Acting as a point of contact to streamline the campus partnership process and identifying events and programs to best engage large populations of students for career education and recruiting events.  Collaborating with the Senior Associate Director of Employer & Alumni Engagement to understand employer needs to continuously improve career education and counseling programs and processes.  Developing college-to-career preparation programs that reflect contemporary hiring, interviewing, and employer candidate selection criteria such as case study interview preparation, team orientated business problem-solving, timed video interviews, design thinking methodologies, industry specific interview criteria, and progressive job and internship search techniques.  Determining the most effective methods and timeframes for delivering career education to an undergraduate liberal arts population, including face-to-face, online, webinars, etc.  Providing career counseling to students and alumni representing a broad range of career, graduate school, and professional school interests.  Collaborating with the Senior Associate Director of Employer & Alumni Engagement to develop and deliver professional development seminars and programs for alumni.  Collaborating with key stakeholders including faculty, administrators, staff, alumni, and parents to identify alumni speakers to enhance learning outcomes.  Managing and supervising the career education counseling team.  Identifying new technologies and external events to help students research employers and understand career and graduate school options.  Using key performance indicators to measure success and to determine effective means of delivering services; leading the efforts to compile and share career and professional development program data with constituencies.  Creating narrative reports and presentations for senior leadership to identify and communicate program impact.  Using data to drive decision-making with an eye towards continuous improvement. QUALIFICATIONS

 Master’s degree preferred in human resources, organizational management, counseling, education, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree required with equivalent relevant experience.  Desire 10+ combined years of experience in college career services, campus recruiting/university relations preferably for a large private sector company. Alternatively, significant experience in college career services, specifically in innovative and contemporary career education program development.  At least 3-5 years of experience directly supervising a team of experienced professionals.  Strong knowledge of contemporary hiring, interviewing, and employer candidate selection criteria and practices across various industry verticals and employment sectors. Strong business industry knowledge required.  Exceptional written and oral communication, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills required.  Exceptional ability to develop and establish benchmarks and analyze outcomes.  Large-scale project management experience strongly desired.  Strong knowledge of college graduate employment trends nationally and globally.  Entrepreneurial spirit offering creative and innovative program development.  Experience working in a changing and fast-paced environment with a team-oriented work style.  Exceptional communicator with experience establishing relationships with numerous key stakeholders.  Familiarity with career management recruiting platforms such as Symplicity or Handshake.  Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office, especially Excel.  Experience using career services or campus recruiting outcomes survey reporting software such as Qualtrics..
