Paths to QUALITY Coach Exempt Position – Salaried 1 FTE CCR&R Supervised By: CCR&R Program Director ------Position Purpose:

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Paths to QUALITY Coach is responsible for implementing on-site support for early care and education programs.

Employee performs duties in a various settings. Employee has frequent contact with various groups and individuals in a variety of settings. Must have the ability to communicate orally and in writing. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule with some evenings and weekends. Travel is required. Work may require light to moderate lifting.

Employee is expected to make substantial contribution to Geminus by developing and coordinating appropriate practices that produce desired program outcomes.

Scope of Responsibility:

 Provide relationship/researched based technical assistance strategies which promote continuous quality improvement and ensure all Paths to QUALITY goals are achieved

 Support and implement a collaborative model of coaching which includes coordination with partnering agencies

 Adhere to Indiana and CCR&R system Paths to QUALITY policies, procedures, and standards of service delivery.

 Ensure increase in the number of quality slots in each county in LLEP’s, Ministries, Centers, and Homes

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree and credentialing (when available) required in any of the ECE, Child Development, Consumer and Family sciences, Education including at least 12 credit hours in early childhood related coursework.

3 years of related experience preferred.

Essential Functions:

 Establish a rapport with each program and/or provider

 Plan and conduct coaching visits with each program and/or provider; spending a minimum of 30 % of time onsite at programs

Coach 1  Prepare and organize materials for coaching visits

 Provide individual and/or group consultation

 Identify resources and additional supportive services for participating child care programs.

 Work with participants to develop a baseline assessment of the child care facility, in relation to PTQ levels and accreditation

 Establish, with participant input, a clear plan of action; designed to ensure the greatest degree of success possible.

 Provide participant with feedback in regards to progress toward long and short term goals, no less than monthly

 Work with agency team to identify most effective strategies to reach identifies goals

 Work collaboratively with the Master Coach to meet level advancement goals.

 Enter all data accurately and in a timely fashion

 Analyzes no less that monthly, program data and modifies strategies accordingly.

 Attends meetings related to program and agency as a whole

 Makes appropriate referrals, when necessary to state and local agencies

 Establishes clear agreements, appointments, and keeps commitments

 Must have ability to flex schedule to include evening and weekends, and sometimes overnight.

 Must be able to access information and deliver services/training/support using a variety of tools, methods and technology.

 Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary as part of CCR&R goals and duties. Geminus Job Description
