The City of Globe is accepting applications for a City Engineering Assistant for its Public Works Department.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Performs complex engineering support and field engineering support for environmental, water, sewer, street, and other Public Works projects and programs

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 High School Graduate with 5 years related experience  Basic knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices and methods as applicable to a municipal setting.  Skilled in arriving at cost estimates on complex projects.  Skill in using computer-aided design software, standard drafting tools, and surveying equipment including level, theodolite and electronic distance measuring devices.  Strong personal skills with ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with employees, consultants, contractors other governmental agency representatives, City officials and the general public.  Surveying ability considered a plus.

Salary: $40,788- $42,500 DOE
