What is Custom Publishing (or Custom Print)?

Custom Publishing is a service that provides a simple and quick way to purchase publications you have crafted, using the articles you need, from one easy-to-navigate location.

The online journal content site is integrated with an e-commerce web portal providing the tools to create customized publications using articles directly from a publisher’s online archives.

Use the simple tools to build your own specialty collections of articles – assembled and produced to your specifications. And, you may choose your product delivery in high quality print or electronic format.

Look for the link named “Custom Print” or “Custom Publishing” associated with articles. By clicking the link, your selections will become available for your customized publication.

Who can use the Custom Publishing features?

Readers, researchers, subscribers, members, and commercial firms can access repositories of publisher content. Customized publications can be created based on specific communication needs and professional specialty niches.

How do I order my custom publication?

Step 1. Complete Your Article Selections On the Publisher's Site

Use the search tools and article content pages on the publisher’s site to locate the articles you would like to use to create and purchase your custom publication. Add your article selections to the custom publication site by clicking the "Custom Publication" or “Custom Print” link associated with each article.

Step 2. Create Your Custom Publication

Use the tools in the shopping cart to assemble your articles into your custom publications and indicate ink color (black ink only or full color), purchase quantity, and product type. Note: If you wish to order your articles not assembled in bound publication format, or to order an issue collection offered by the publisher, simply review and confirm your shopping cart contents.

Step 3. Select Your Product Type and Purchase Quantity

You may select either print or electronic format (if available) for your articles or custom publications by indicating a purchase quantity in the dropdown menu associated with each product type.

If available as a product type in the shopping cart you may choose an electronic format (ePrint) for single articles and custom publications when you need less than 25 copies. The electronic format includes unlimited viewing, 25 prints, and a feature allowing you to forward the electronic publication to 25 of your colleagues.

Your electronic product will be delivered to you via email in 24 - 72 hours from purchase. Your electronic publication can be printed from your home or office printer. You may add up to 12 articles in each individual electronic publication.

Print Articles and Publications

Our printed articles and publications are available for purchase from 25 to 500 or more copies. If you need more copies than the maximum quantity available in the shopping cart please contact a Customer Service Representative using the "Contact Us" menu tab.

Your articles or publications are printed on excellent quality paper and with superior press reproduction. Each custom publication is bound with an attractive cover (printed on heavy cover stock) and a table of contents. Your printed products will be shipped in 7 – 10 days. Expedited shipping is available.
