Job Description: Young Advisers Project Coordinator Salary £14292 per annum Hours 21 hours per week Reporting to Group Operations and Development Manager Based Sidcup closing date: 1 February 2016 Job summary A project coordinator who has excellent self-advocacy and communication skills is required to work with the Young Advisers Havering. Able to liaise with a wide range of people including young people with a disability, council officers, other organisations and parents and carers, working to develop the Young Advisers Havering project.

The coordinator will:

 develop and support Young Advisers Havering projects

 recruit and train a group of young disabled people aged 14 to 25 years who will be consultants and a voice for young people with a disability

 support the Young Advisers Havering to develop their skills to work with other young people and speak up for young people with a disability

 support the Young Advisers Havering to be a voice for young people with a disability

 liaise with Havering Council, schools, colleges and other organisations

 attend meetings in Havering

 be flexible with hours as required and may include some occasional additional project work

 work as part of the self advocacy team

 have full, clean driving license and use of car to carry out the duties of the post

The project coordinator’s role is to:
