Enchilada with SQL Server 2005 Install Instructions

Uninstall Enchilada and SQL Server 1. Go to control panel -> Add or remove programs 2. Select Enchilada and click remove 3. Select Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and click remove 4. Go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data, and delete any files with “SpASMS” in the filename

Install and setup Microsoft SQL Server 2005 5. Insert SQL Server 2005 disk 1 6. Click “Server components, tools, Books Online, and sample” 7. Accept terms and conditions 8. Choose to install 9. Click next until you get to the “Registration Information” 10. On “Registration Information” fill out the form and click next 11. Select all components to install and click next 12. Leave “Default instance” highlighted and click next 13. Select “Use the built-in System account” and click next 14. Change to mixed authentication, choose a password and click next 15. Click next on Collation Settings page 16. Select whatever error reporting settings you want and click next 17. Check the items it is installing and then click install 18. Click next when finished installing 19. Click finish on the page that summarizes the install 20. Go to Start -> All Programs -> Microsoft SQL Server 2005 -> Configuration Tools -> SQL Server Configuration Manager 21. Double click on SQL Server 2005 Network Configuration -> Protocols for MSSQLSERVER, double click on TCP/IP, to the right of “Enabled”, click on “No” and select “Yes”, then click Apply and OK 22. Click SQL Server 2005 Services, and right click SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) and select “Restart” 23. Right click on “SQL Server Browser” and select “Properties” 24. Under “Service,” click “Disabled” next to “Start Mode” and select “Automatic” 25. Click “Apply” and then “Okay” 26. If SQL Server Browser’s state is not “Running,” right click on SQL Server Browser and select “Restart” 27. Exit out of SQL Server Configuration Manager

Install and setup Enchilada 28. Download Enchilada without Express from http://www.cs.carleton.edu/enchilada/ 29. Open EDAM-Enchilada-install.exe 30. Select the options you wish to install and click next 31. Keep it at the default directory (or choose another directory that all users on your computer have access to) and click install 32. When finished installing click close
