Tuesday August 17, 2010 Objective: Introduction to the Scientific Method 1) Journal: 2) Go over syllabus 3) Fortune Telling Fish Activity – students will get their fish and begin observations (page 1)

Wednesday/Thursday August 18/19, 2010 Objective: Introduction to the Scientific Method 1) Journal: 2) Review main procedures 3) Take notes over Scientific Method – slides 1-4 4) Fortune Telling Fish Activity – finish page 1 – start page 2 – students will write up their experiment and get it checked by the teacher. Students are finished when they have gotten the procedure and the data table set up.

Then we will discuss correct answers as a class. 5) Students will work alone to complete Inference/observation worksheet – The Dinosaur Scene. Then we will discuss correct answers as a class. 6) Hand out study guide for scientific method test.
